Well I don't think people are telling you to watch the explanation because they think you don't know what you're talking about, it's just the explanations are as much entertaining as the animations. It's more like a suggestion for a reaction we'll enjoy watching and not rudely saying get educated or something.

If anything about the pokemon has changed, it's that the designs, names, and origins get more and more complex and honestly that's a good thing.

@@violetprimordial1067 I think the disdain for them stems from the fact is that people tend to forget that the mon in pokemon is short for monster. Monster is probably the most umbrella term ever so it makes sense that they aren't all solely biological creatures.

Honestly the criticism of “when they used to look like tangible creatures” wouldn’t bug me so much if you actually already knew the lore/bothered to play or even do a bit of research into the premise of the new games. The fact that you thought they were megas at the start shows you don’t know what S/V is about. Paradox Pokémon are meant to be unnatural and uncanny takes on their modern counterparts, all of the future ones are literally inorganic and thus don’t try to resemble “tangible creatures”.
Make fair criticism on some designs because they are uninspired, not because they don’t match some arbitrary standard of nostalgia. There are stinkers in every generation, subjectivity is always in play as well, but to just instantly write off something that doesn’t look like Gen 1 or whatever gen you grew up on is a lazy take.
Plus Terminal's simplified art style on top of the fact that he made Brute Bonnet into a Spongegar reference so it looks even LESS like its supposed to

That mentality has existed for over HALF of the generations, and yet we still have fresh new ideas.
The premise of Scarlet and Violet's endgame is essentially a time machine going haywire and bringing past or future pokemon to the present. I mean there's a bit more to it but that's basically the long and the short of why they exist.
It's complicated to say these are true pokemon from either points in time, but due to a DLC plot point, it's hard to deny that.

In general, Paradox Pokemon are reimagined prehistoric/futuristic versions of Pokemon that can be found in Area Zero, a giant crater in the center of Paldea that leads to a Journey to The Center Of The Earth style wildland
The explanations aren’t like “You don’t know what you’re talking, you need to watch them to understand”, they are just genuinely good videos that are as much entertaining as the fight animations
please react to the explained ones! they explain so much, and even give you new info for most pokemon fans
You should definitely watch the explained videos by LocstinKnogin, he gives very good in depth explanations as to what Pokemon are what and what they exactly do, and why each Pokemon is as powerful as it is
Funnily enough, Oranguru is the most likely candidate to be a Pokémon that becomes a Pokémon trainer
Mewtwo is also a candidate for it, as he was one in the first movie.
They even referenced that in the first Pokemon Battle Royale, where Oranguru found Magcargo’s pokeball exposing everyone to the unmatched power of the sun.
The explanation series are more of a suggestion rather than a need. Though a lot of people probably don’t see it that way. It’s fun for me to see what you interpret the inside jokes of the pokedex that you likely won’t, and never will because of the funny, read
I highly recommend watching the explanation video as it goes into full depth into the references, game machanics, and pokemon themselves. Also funny to watch as well
Oranguru is actually a Pokémon smart enough to use Pokémon similar to a Pokémon trainer. (According to its Pokédex entry)

This time around, the explanation admitted they didn't have as much info, thanks to coming out so soon that not a lot of side material had been released.
The competitive side had only tiered them overall, not against themselves. It wasn't much help as a result.
I feel you really should watch the explaining videos from Lockstin. I'm a really big Pokémon fan and even I needed some of the explanations!

This. This is what actually good react content looks like! Where the person reacting actually has some insight (usually if the viewer is a professional in some way like an artist, musician, or scientist), especially if they make the viewer appreciate the original content in a new way. The way you break down the actual animation principles that went into some scenes was really insightful. Plus your enthusiasm is great!
Oh man, I've been trying to write a fanfic of a Pokémon that becomes a Pokémon trainer but I've been stuck writing a chapter for literally years.
I want so badly to tell the story rolling inside of my head.
The Pokémon known as "Oranguru" is smart enough to throw Poké Balls and give orders to other Pokémon.
@DestroyerofAll-2-8 It's actually in progress already (only in the technical sense in that I have not canceled the project) and it's about a riolu whose aura senses and physical sense have combined into synesthesia.

Also, I would highly recommend watching the explanation videos because they are just as entertaining as they are informative. It helps show the finer details and thought process for the entire video
Somehow I’m the only person in my friend group that knows about the caveman scooby doo YTP, but it’s still a classic.
Eating other pokemon = vore. Hmm I think you are fantasizing or think a bit too much about it.
The simpler the animation, the easier it is to create action scenes for said animation. This is why I prefer the first two seasons of the animated series RWBY because while the 3D animation was far simpler than in the later seasons, the action scenes were OUT OF THIS WORLD. However when the animation budget raised up and they could create more complex 3D animation, it made it harder to create complex fighting animation which resulted in the greatest draw of the series eventually drying up to complete simplicity near its end... Plus their lead 3D animator and creator of the show Monty died before the completion of the third season but I don't think that alone lead to the death of the show's fighting choreography.
Honestly Monty was the once in the wild genius, with incredible choreography and weapons usages, but it's now strays further away from it now since he isn't doing the fight scene sadly now, the entire team crews really dependents on his fighting choreography after I watch some videos about the behind the storyboards.
Yeah, as much as I and others want your take on the explains, they aren’t entirely necessary but do give an in-depth why for the results and some jokes that can fly over your head as they’re a mix up of dex entries and anime references.

I would say that the Pokemon now are way more better designed than Gen 1 Pokemon, in Gen 1 you had Rats, fisty guys, rocks with hands, Sludge, a flower, now there are creatures from past and present showing great detail, Two Legendary dogs who were the protectors of the Galar region from random Dynamaxing pokemon, A LITERAL GOD OF POKEMON, like seriously, in my opinion, things have reaved up and been the best it has been

Definitely recommend the explanation videos. Though for in-depth info on the Paradox Pokemon as well as Koraidon, Miraidon, and Cyclizar that would be a separate mini series.

15:36 Something really cool as well is how the motion blur is done. On Miraidon’s arm you can see that Terminal Montage actually drew Miraidon in the set pose for the action, then drew the smear over it instead of drawing the arm itself smeared. It likely saves a good amount of time in drawing the effect and yet in motion it looks perfectly natural.
Look, i have no issues with Gen 1 (and I'll even throw in Gen 2 just for fun) designs and even have looked back at some i wasn't a fan of but grew to like, but you can't say they were better than newer ones or newer ones got worse. A lot of cool ideas from all over the world of animals, myths, legends, and cultural themes make Pokemon unique.
One of my favorite new Pokemon, Grafaiai, is a Aye-Aye, a lemur known for it's "unique" looks and long finger, with themes of street artists and graffiti, with it using berries and it's finger to mark trees and landmarks with striking symbols for territory, while it's fur makes it look like it's wearing a hoodie and it's eyes and face look like a mask used during painting with.
It all meshes to create an actually cute Pokemon, and i love him. That's just one example of good Pokemon design from the most recent Generation and there are way more unique and cooler ones out there, like a Hydra in an Apple due to Applin, a Wyrm in an apple, evolving to another legendary figure from Greek/Japanese mythos and is also a Candy Apple. It's so creative! Hell, Pokemon even get regional looks like Geodude's line and Voltorb, and it's hard for me to say if i like them more than the original. though, Alolan Eggexutor is clearly better.

18:34 absolutely nothing. In the first movie Mewtwo made Pokeballs capable of not only capturing already captured Pokemon with a 100% catch rate but they can also capture other Pokeballs. Mewtwo also made his own cloned army from the stolen Pokemon and others such as Oranguru are smart enough to know how to use a Pokeball and are also capable of commanding other Pokemon...

About your comment on Pokemon being smart enough to be trainers, they actually made a Pokemon called Orangurunin Gen 7 with the signature move Instruct. Instruct would cause the Pokemon you use it on to use whatever its previous move was again, so in doubles combining it with something like Water Spout Kyoger means insane damage.

If have learned anything from shows like Nichijou and Bocchi the Rock, it's that simple does not mean easy/bad. Nichijou is a comedy anime made by Kyoto Animation. The same studio that made Violet Evergarden, Hibike! Euphonium, and Kobayashi Sensei. Bocchi is made by Cloverworks who made Spy Family, Promised Neverland, and more recently, Black Butler's Public School Arc. In short, simple drawings doesn't mean simple animation. They are not mega Pokémon or legendary they are Pokémon from both the distant future and distant past.
True i dont consider any of the paradox "legendaries" as anything more then special paradoxes. They are quite literally legendary designated in stats alone not by any in game lore or called as such in universe.
