A second fun fact: The person who did most of the Professor Oak voicelines was the actual official va for Professor Oak
WHAT!!! That's so sweet if true.
to explain the last one for you Makari, in simple terms thats not just ANY Pikachu, it's a "Let's go!" Pikachu, which had all of tye friendship buffs and boosted special moves like guaranteed crits.
As well as a greatly increased BST compared to regular Pikachus
I'm your 69th like. Enjoy! 😊
Sad you aren't checking out the explanation vids, those are very interesting
Please watch the explained.
Yes, rhe explanation videos by Lockstin are just really good
No one does... which always annoys me.
Oh he didn’t watch the explained? I’m out lmk when he does
@@crcoghill they just want the ez views that comes with the animation which sucks but it is what it is
@@MarkulusRift the explained is not entertaining it's that simple. I've watched them all but I don't get why people want a reaction. It's just nerd stuff what is there to react to?
Fun fact: The lines for Kartana (The tiny sword guy in the Ultra Beast Battle Royale) are actually reversed lines from Jetstream Sam, which is a reference to how in the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime Kartana had lines that were just reversed speech.
"What's going on?"
"Well I actually have supplemental videos that were the basis of what TerminalMontage made. In fact I was co-writer for."
"Too long, didn't watch lel."
to answer your question, bout why riolu/lucario are being mentioned used in dbz references, is because Sean Schemmel the actual VA for goku voiced lucario in smash wiiu/3ds and smash ult. i hope this helps.
As well as the 8th movie, which was Lucario's anime debut.
@@MrAuthor3DS ahh dang i missed one thnx 4 the info
The explained videos give a lot of great explanations and small details from pokedexes on the reasons of the fights
Fun fact: Munchlax did not eat an egg. Happiny doesn't make eggs until it becomes a Chansey. So until it evolves, it carries around egg-shaped rocks in it's pouch. That's also why he fell right after eating it.
Lockstin & Gnoggin does explain these battles and they are actually entertaining as well as being informative.
They’re not really long and are straight to the point as to why each Pokémon lost.
@Makari Please go watch all the Battle Royale Explaination Videos as they help explain everything and are educational.
57:18 to 57: 35
That is Mimikyu's entire existence in lore. At least Jessie found a liking to one and is treating them well.
You should really look up the interactions between Jessie and Mimikyu. I love Mimikyu and I like Jessie, James and Meowth so much! ^^
Recommended you watch Lockstin gnoggin to help you understand behind what happened in Poekemon Battle Royale
watch the explaning of all of them, it explains a ton of things in the videos
Alright I’m gonna put some respect on my boys’s names
35:35 No, the second head, whom I shall refer to as Greg, is not eating Farigiraf the giraffe. In their previous form, Girafarig, they were much shorter and Girafarig ate grass. To protect itself, it has a second semi sentient head attached to its tail which can look out for predators and bite at any attackers trying to get the jump on the main tiny giraffe. Upon evolving into Farigiraf they become way taller and no longer need to eat their their face down. With long legs to kick, there’s no need for Greg to remain on the butt end, so Greg moves up and engulfs Farigiraf’s head to both form tough protective neck and head armour as well as link up their brains via an assortment of thick nerves. This means that Greg can completely close their mouth and the giraffe inside can still see everything outside through the hooked up brain system of the two. This powers up their combined psychic abilities and basically turns the head into a sledge hammer to smash into opponents or bite onto them.
I’d like to reiterate, no Pokémon are inherently evil besides maybe Malamar and even more dubiously Hypno. One allegedly controls a shadow government, the other has instances of kidnapping children, but besides these two every Pokémon will unconditionally love you if you can take care of them correctly and will protect you with their lives. Sure some of them are weird or terrifying at first but Pokémon are innately your friends and they’re only not if you choose to believe they aren’t. They will eat each other though, because animals already do that.
To be fair, the Hypno thing is seemingly just a one-time incident that permanently ruined the reputation of the species.
Now, Drifloon on the other hand...
@@heckermcheck8109 Drifloon is weird because we aren’t sure if it’s taking children peacefully whose time it is to pass due to a weird fate destiny thing and they’re sparing them a worse more brutal end or if some Drifloon do nab kids and some just wanna play. Hypno however has at least 2 instances where it attempts to take a child, one in I believe the Johto games where you save a little girl from a Hypno and again in the Ultra Alola games where a Hypno tries to take you if you visit the trainer school at midnight or something.
Then again, some Hypno are used in medicine for insomnia patients so they can be helpful and aren’t exclusively evil, all Pokémon can be nurtured to be good
"Rules of Nature" during the Ultra Beast finale would have been more appropriate than you know - the lines by Kartana (the little paper-looking guy) were Jetstream Sam's lines played in reverse
Wailord is floating because it is to light. The heaviest a pokemon can be is 999 kg. An animal with Wailord size should be more than 100 tonnes. With Wailords volume and 999kg it turns out to be slightly lighter than air!
Wailord is not 999kg anyway
The explanation videos are very important for the full enjoyment of these, specially for people who aren't pokemon experts, lul.
I mean, i can understand 80% of everything going on and i still couldn't imagine watching one of these and skipping on the explanations by Lockstin, The literal Goat.
Long story short for the final two?
In the (paraphrased) words of ProtonJon: "Partner Pikachu is so fun, but he's _so broken!"_
You really should watch all the explained videos. They give a lot of insight into what happened, and are a fun watch
I don't understand what's going on.
Click here to watch the explanation.
No.
I don't know what's happening.

NO.
If she watched the explanation video it would take 10 years because of how often she pauses
>points out the wacko Pokemons that could destroy the world
>99.999999999% you wont even interact with then
>you aint going see a Joe Smoe office worker go out of their way to kick Groudon in the sheen
>another evidence is not watching the anime: Ash literally swam with Kyogre one time and had some nice underwater adventure with it
1:09:16 That's not Chikorita, that's Torchic
I love these videos because they collaborate with a amazing Pokemon CZcamsr Lockstin who does deep dive into Pokemon lore, design philosophies, and much much more. Definitely worth giving their Channel a chance and you should watch the explain because it's also fun
Watch the lockstin and gnoggin explination videos pls. They are great and really explain what happend in the videos.
Gigantamx pokemon aren't just bigger. That's dynamax. Gigantamax is a form granted to only a few pokemon in sword and shield, and unless you got a special version of that pokemon, you had to get the dlc, isle of armor, to unlock gigantamax for any one of your pokemon that qualified. The gigantamax pokemon in the video are more or less what they look like in the game (just, you know, with terminal montage's animation style)
It always bugs me when people get the two mixed up
So from I’ve gathered from the ending clips, what happened was Mega Gengar was responsible for those 3 Pokémon (Bannette, Mawhile, and baby Kangaskan) being freed from the mega evolution simulation. The others that were thrown died in unique ways. They then used Gigantamax Gengar to go even further beyond and find the “architect” of the simulations. Now they just kept hopping from one simulation to the next until Sudowoodo managed to log into the PC and free them.
Battle Royal Explained videos when?
I would like to humbly agree with some of the other comments and warmly recommend Lockstins explanation videos, he was the consult for the accuracy of all of this
Also you really SHOULD watch the explainations, they're very entertaining and eye opening.
At this point I'm convinced that Makari is a Shapeshifter & not a half-demon like i thought. This is the 5th time their appearance has changed this year.
- The common joke is that Wailord must be less dense than air for its weight to make sense.
- Apparently, even Turtonator's droppings contain highly combustible substances. Hence the...shotting attack.
- This took Magikarp's "can jump higher than a mountain" to the highest extreme by jumping to the very height of the atmosphere, making it fall like a meteor.
- Pokedexes claim that volcanoes go off every time Entei barks.
- Kyurem has the ability to absorb Reshiram or Zekrom to take on stronger forms (in stone form, granted).
- The shapeshifting thing battling Rayquaza is Deoxys, a mutated virus Pokemon that's often seen clashing with the dragon.
- Yveltal's death forces it to drain the life out of all surrounding lifeforms before entering hibernation. Necrozma played it smart by setting it off like a nuke.
- Necrozma and Arceus are pretty much the two multiversal powerhouses of the series (so far). In fact, we may never see the TRUE Arceus - because any Arceus we get to interact with in gameplay is merely one of its avatars (as affirmed in Legends: Arceus).
- No, Happiny doesn't carry a real egg, like Chansey or Blissey do. Instead, she carries a round rock. That's why it gave Munchlax a tummyache.
- Well, it's because Lucario uses Aura, which functions like ki, AND it was voiced by Sean Schemmel.
- Mega Evolution is a gimmick that was introduced in Gen-6 (also seen in Gen-7). It's gonna see a return in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. And only specific Pokemon get Mega Evolutions (and they're all final stages, as in they can't evolve further).
- Only Charizard and Mewtwo have two different Mega Evolutions.
- Mega Rayquaza is kinda notorious, since it's the only Mega that doesn't need to hold a Mega Stone (it just needs to know a certain admittedly strong move).
- Eternatus is a Legendary Pokemon that caused the Dynamax phenomenon in Galar. It's only here to cause all the Gigantamaxes.
- The little guys are Meltan, a Mythical Pokemon that was introduced in Pokemon GO. They evolve into Melmetal (though only in Pokemon GO) - this is the Pokemon that can Gigantamax.
- Gigantamax Flapple and Appletun (the big apple worms) were reenacting a Neon Genesis Evangelion battle against Melmetal, by the by. And yes, those two's G-Max forms look identical, and they look closer to their prevo Applin.
- Gigantamax Gengar is pretty much a hellmouth. The strandees from the Mega Battle Royale were using its maw as a portal out of that reality.
- Agreed. Mega Evolution, at least, is totally the Poke-bourgeoisie. At least Gigantamax is merely an alternate extra effect to certain Max Moves.
(to be cont'd)
- Ultra Beasts aren't special forms. They're special Pokemon from alternate worlds, and an exaggerated play on invasive species (which are a big deal in Alola's inspiration of Hawaii).
- The Ultra Beast Battle Royale has a lot of sci-fi references, like: 2001, Stitch, Transformers, Ridley, daleks, Star Wars trash compactor, Alien, First Encounters of the Third Kind, Signs, Space Core, Among Us, IT...
- Buzzwole doesn't actually have big muscles - those are all fluid sacs.
- Hey, glue beats paper.
- Over...54 billion boxes in that PC system?? A-As a reference, a single Pokemon HOME account only has up to 200 boxes. You'd need well over 270 million Pokemon HOME accounts to match that many!
- Besides the obvious starters of Grass, Fire, and Water, this also has all Eeveelutions possible from Pokemon XD and Pokemon Conquest (Nobunaga's Ambition spin-off) and the Let's Go starters (Pikachu and Eevee). Poipole, meanwhile, is considered a "starter" for the people of Ultra Megalopolis.
- Huh. I don't recall Chikorita being an orange baby chicken.
- Actually, the Dexes say that normal Charizard's tail flame just turns bright blue when it's angry.
- Hisuian Typhlosion gains the spectral powers of the Ghost-type - specifically, as a kind of sage.
- Partner Pikachu and Partner Eevee (from Let's Go) can't evolve, but they're much stronger than normal, get access to some broken unique moves, and have more potent friendship bonuses. That's one of the reasons Pikachu is in the top two here - the other is TCG tier lists.
- The only future Battle Royales I can think of are: Galarian (all the non-Legend/Mythical Pokemon introduced in Sword/Shield), Hisuian (Pokemon introduced in Legends: Arceus), Paldean (introduced in Scarlet/Violet, DLC included), and maybe a team battle between Paradox Pokemon (ancient and future). And if we wanna really stretch...Super Smash Bros. Battle Royale*?
* As in the fighters' canon capabilities from their own game series, minus certain things like glitch-based traits, special death-prevention modes (like Steve's Creative Mode and Corrin's Phoenix Mode), and past-altering powers (like Byleth's Divine Pulse and so many fighters' time-traveling). Could probably allow vehicles...if only to see Olimar's ship use its star-destroying Nova Blaster.
It always annoys me when people just brush off Gnoggins explained videos considering he co-writes and creates the battles. He's a major part of this series and I never see any reactors shout him out or his work, just terminalmontage.
Someone stole a first edition dark magician girl from my bag back in middle school. Know the pain.
21:57 deoxys, the DNA Pokémon. Rayquaza’s rival
"why don't we have a pokemon battle royal?" I think these videos give a pretty good reason why.
I think the closest Pokemon ever had to a battle royale was Pokemon Rumble U. I could be mistaken, though.
@@MrAuthor3DS Technically a 'pokemon only' round of smash bros would count wounldn't it?
I tried looking up the definition of 'battle royal' to see what would count and technically I think a 3 v 3 pokemon battle counts.
The anime can just be determined as a separate reality where Pokemon are way more docile than how they would probably realistically be. So people saying that they'd want to be in that pokemon world could be reasonable and not that dangerous.
Makari: I don't recognise the newer ones
Also Makari not knowing any gen 4 pokemon including giratina
These Battle Royale videos are seemingly annual. One comes out every year or so.
19:57 “That” is Lunala, the embodiment of the moon.
10:04 -10:14 that's a lot of gardevoir arts. But Lucario remained #1 with over 26,000 arts.
If yall want to watch this early go to twitch
1:19:36
Take2Action in chat:
"man i love asuras wrath"
Based as hell
Girl did not just call Torchic “Chikorita”
1:09:31 Congratulations! Your Charmander evolved into a lizard. He's dead.
a fun fact about the end of the legendary and mythical Pokemon royale is that when that Pokemon absorbed the sun it became equal to a god so he wanted to fight the god but 2 other gods the god of space and time tried to stop it so when the god of time froze time and it broke out he broke time itself and killed the god of time making more universe splitting the screen on the left it showed god losing on the right it showed god winning so that means if Dialga [the god of time] was killed millions of timelines will be created
Now this is a marathon that i was hoping to see❤❤❤
What take you this long, terminalmontage is one of the best animators on youtube😂😂😂
I’d love to see your reaction to Lockstin’s explanations of these Battle Royales
i know you won't know what pokemon it is, but my first shiny (not counting the lake of rage encounter) is hawulcha from X/Y which was completely random encounter. I also got a shiny zekrom in ORAS by random encounter
3:36 when you said how apocalyptic it may be to be in the Pokémon universe... Thats exactly why I would choose it. FOR THE CHAOS! :)
I have researched every type of pokemon when i was 14 yrs old till the new gen
That happiny wasn't carrying an egg, that was a rock. A rock that munchlax took to the grave
1:07:38 the Kartana died because it’s literally made of paper.
3:33 If we're going 1-to-1 with the PokeDex entries: Magcargo literally just deletes the Earth by existing. Which is why I subscribe to the theory that the Dex entries are overly dramatic descriptions written by a 10 year old. Because they pretty much are: PKMN Red/Blue, Professor Oak hands you the Pokedex with the express purpose to help him fill it out and finalize a universal encyclopedia. So your goofy ahh character had to have some sort of editorial access to the entries, and did the funny.
"I'm for serious dude! I swear this cool 4 armed guy could TOTALLY lift an ENTIRE mountain! I mean, *_he's so big!"_*
"You dont know how apocalyptic the Pokémon world is."
Pokémon fans: We dont care
Funny enough I’m pretty sure the official Pokémon center website has a 1:1 replica plushie of Arcanine
Great video mark
0:37 see my adopted brother for the first time?
i will make sure his body would not be found
Aww, look at the little millenial that can barely remember the names of the box art legendaries of Gen 3
How do you not know the regis?! They’re GEN 3!!!
Would love to hear Makari's impressions of PalWorld after their screed on how horrific living in the Pokémon workd would be.
Tune in next week, when we see the Battle of Past and Future Mons!
The urge to shake you by the shoulders and correct on Pokemon knowledge and names is extremely difficult to contain at the moment
As someone who has Lilligant and Garbodor as their favorite Pokemon, I ate well with Gen 8 giving us both Gmax Garbodor (the only non gen 1 or 8 Pokemon to get a Gmax) and then Legends Arceus gave us Hisuian Lilligant.
The explanations are good and will definitely catch you up on the basics of their abilities
1:12:23 Delphox & Skeledirge:
59:21 Jimmy Here reference?!
Red Gyarados.
Scripted yes, but it was the first.
Funny thing, it's 3 am amd i was eating a sandwich while watching this
Ok Poke Battle Royale would be huge money for Nintendo.
1:01:40 What in the actual fuck was that voice!? That was so good, my god! 😅
1:14:43 because yes.
Iirc lucario has the most degen art made of it.
Does it actually have the most?
Metal Gear Rising Revengance still has one of the best Boss OSTs for video games but pokemon does have some good battle music
1:19:23
As a dragon ball fan this statement has caused me great pain
My first shiny was geodude in Pokemon x
you asked what my first shiny was, and I shall answer: Shiny Rosellia.
I love your accent! You sound like David Tenant with a higher pitch
I recognize the voice of HK-47 anywhere from the start of the seconds royal fight!
18:04 Hoopa; the trolly ring Pokémon. It legit likes organizing Pokémon battle royales in the movie… Ash and co. break up (I think) a Hoopa organized Palkia-Dialga battle, because the gods of time and space either respect or fear Ash Ketchum.
30:20 and Riolu and Lucario are the “Aura” Pokémon and are depicted in both anime and games in a very dbz light.
My first shiny was a Magicarp in Saphire. Now I have a red Garadose, but now I'm afraid people will see it and go, "Wow, a shiny that everyone else caught in gen 2."
Here's a question for you all: if you could have one of any Pokemon as your friend irl, which would it be and why?
hearing Kari call Pidgeot and Butterfree "good" in any sense as a competitive player makes me sigh
My first ever shiney was a raikou, couldn't believe it. ended up giving it away cuz i didnt really care about the legendary dogs
My first shiny Pokemon was Snubbull and I wouldn’t have it any other way :)
1:12:13 the most recent fire atarter was a ghost type skeleton crocodile
I never played a single Pokémon game (unless you consider Pokémon go a game)
My first shiny was a shiny rockruff that i evolved in a midday lyconrock
20:40 That is what the explaineds are for
1:16:30 It’s the Let’s Go Evee
11:59 Gets worse with Mega Evolution as Mega Metagross and Salamence are known for killing their trainers in their entries. MS got the nickname Blood Soaked Cresent bc of it
I regards to the gardevior ... you have never looked up Lucario or Umbreon, have you?
To add to how much you would be screwed if you isakaied into the pokemon world, around half of the mainline games have had some kind of end of days apocalyptic event go down in some way shape or form
You mean you dont recognise all 1000+ pokemom 😮
Fantastic argument, however, one small issue. I have a tiny desk engineer and you don’t. :)))
My First Shiny Pokémon Was A Jumpluff
My first shiny was a full odds zubat in one of the let's go games
My first shiny was a ghastly in Dimond version... it took me four generations to get a Legit shiny... then there where the picture on my pokémon Stadium 😂 had a red koffing I had named kickball...
The explanation videos will give alot of context, you should check them out
New guy here, great stuff
I love these videos
