how do you get those amazin tones from the katana i have one but mine is no where near those perfect tones!
L3AF use the overdrive/tube screamer circuit to get that nice compression. i’m a fan of of the red setting. gain around 70%, mid around 60/70% bass to where you like it, i tend to back it off, treble same and boost around a quarter.

i do the same thing ola..especially when my kids are watching cartoons and movies..i always like to play along to the music score in the toons...and of course harassing my wife when she is cooking..but i just have a long chord running to my yamaha thr10x,,this wireless katana looks like the way to go and it sounds good from what i can hear on my end of this video,,what a great idea for a practice amp..and well if your rocking the katana..i think i will too..have had the yamaha for many years now, since they came out and i think it is time to retire it to a young person that needs an amp and get me a katana...shout out from alaska..be well brother

I tried the boss katana 50 in the store last week and I couldn't get it to sound anything like Ola's tone or any of the other metal videos i saw where it sounded great. I wanted to get this amp since I'm getting back into playing this year but I don't want to waste money either.
You're not going to be able to get death metal tones from a Katana using just the panel. If you go into the amp with the Boss Tone Studio editing software, you can get as heavy as you want.
