She'll get injured. Tatiana needs to have another fight without getting injured.
Weili is very talented no doubt but she has not been an active champ. Let's see if she fights again this year or if she continues to sleep with the belt safely under her pillow. Never forget what Rose did to her and how poorly weili accepted the loss and blamed the American fans.
@@daviddean2082 What u want to say then? Weili fought once in 2023 cuz both Yan xiaonan and tatiana suarez called her out & UFC did not offer a fight. Who is more inactive, Weili who fought 4 times compared to Rose who only took 2 since 2022?
@rcdnj rose is very inactive but she is not the champion anymore.. weili SHOULD WANT to defend the belt against a clear number 1 undefeated fighter.... but what did she do instead? She challenged grasso to get another belt. Weili is very very hyped by the ufc and all her fans.... if she is such a great champion she should stop ducking tatiana. Defend the belt or vacate.
@@daviddean2082 Yan xiaonan was one step ahead of Tatiana for beating Andrade and entering Top5. Then UFC tried to make Xiaonan and Tatiana fight but probably their managers could not agree on fight date or something. Neither of them contacted weili so she did not know who to fight next. Then during her livestream many Chinese fans suggest her fight Grasso and she said okay I'll give it a try. Weili ducks nobody. If she cherry picks oppoenents she should have ducked Joana and Rose cuz both are hard fights.
@@daviddean2082 And she did acknowledged Suarez as a potential challenger during 292 post fight conference. If anyone ducks it's Tatiana herself pull out of Lemos fight just cuz of a minor knee issue.

She can't stay healthy, she could've got the title shot a few years back if she could, I honestly don't think her body is made to fight more than once a year at this point.
In another interview Tatiana wanted to fight Zhang at international fight week but I doubt Zhang wants to fight again that soon.

I like her & respect her fighting spirit in & out of the cage considering what she's been through, but she must fight Virna Jandiroba in a #1 contender fight. She can't ride a wave from 5 years ago into a title shot, the old heads need to stop. Since her return from the 5yr lay-off she only beat roaster-filler Montana De La Rosa at 125 & Andrade on a L streak, taking fights on short notice bc of divorce money troubles. Can't discard the women who've been putting in work while she's been gone. However, nowadays timing & availability are key & her vs Weili is a good fight, so we'll see.

Tatiana is so much stronger, longer and bigger than Weili. Not easy for smaller Weili.
Suarez's a elite grappler but not much stronger than weili. She has some skinny legs under her huge body which makes her look like a potato standing on two toothpicks.

That was such a good fight. I remember it well. Nina defended her takedowns and Suarez wasn't able to do any damage since she couldn't gett her to the ground. And then by the 3rd round Tatiana was exhausted and Nina was catching her with some good punches. If it went one more round Nina would've secured the win. And if you notice when they were reading the results Suarez was unsure if she had won.
She's a genuine star but UFC is sceptical of giving her title shot because of her injuries. Not her fault but that's the reality. Although all the respect to her because of her perseverance to come back every time. Lot of them might have retired.

Because she's Mexican derp and most likely she wouldn't headline it but probably be like the Co main event or 3rd title fight. I would assume that Alexa vs Valentina 3 would be either the Main event or Co main event but since Dana wants it to be a big event I wouldn't be surprised if he put Sean vs Merab for the Main event, Alexa vs Valentina for co main & then you can add Tatiana vs ZW as the 3rd title fight.
They'd definitely need to secure a backup fighter if they book Suarez/Zhang.

Because Weili takes long breaks in between fights, in another interview with Helen Tatiana said she wanted to fight Weili at international fight week but she doesn’t know if Weili wants to return that soon.

And if you say someone 'deserves' a title shot cuz they make an interesting matchup you can as well say that about any prospect after their debut
@@rcdnj and who would you say realistically is on a higher level than suarez in regards to her grappling ? she ragdolled esparza worse than weili did and esparza has some of the best wrestling In that division. jandiroba aint posing any threat to weili she allready been beating up by sub par fighters.
and yes if a fighter is undefeated in a division amongst others who the Champs allready beaten, and has the skillset to challenge them. then yes they deserve a shot. the fans and ufc want compelling fights.

@@ryan010able Thats not how you say someone 'deserves' just cuz you think she may bring the chaos. If that's how UFC matchmake they will just let Suarez face Weili before Lemos and Xiaonan. For me Tatiana can fight Virna in June before title fight in Nov. If Tatiana is the ONE she should not avoid another fight which matches the timeline well

TS is the best straw weight on the planet but I just don’t see her ever fighting for the title because of her health.
With her back problem history ........ fighting Weili would be too risky for her to end up in a wheelchair .REMEMBER how Weili kneeled Lemos's back when Lemos was on the ground locking Weili's head .

This a problem in UFC with these Beast women flopping back and forth from one weight division to another to get easy wins on much smaller girls. Tatiana is a 125lb. fighter. says so on her wicki. She belongs in Flyweight. Or is it too tough there the be champion? You have to drop weight and sub Weili if you can? Weili to date has never faced a UFC opponent smaller than herself. Fighters should have to commit to a certain weight class in writing. If you were so dominate from the beginning in Flyweight why bounce around? Especially after admitting yourself that cutting from 125 to 115 left you feeling weak with no energy. That's your body telling you it's not your normal weight. You also talk smack about Rose but won't stay in Flyweight to face her either. Pounding on little Carla Esparza should have been a wake up call to the UFC. A heavier stronger fighter dropping weight to pummel smaller women for cheap wins.

Don’t put too much pressure on her, she might break her back again. A healthy Tatiana is likely the GOAT in the division but the MMA Gods have cursed us by injuring her so frequently and with such severity.
The ONLY thing that is stopping her is injury, if she wasn't injury prone she would of been had 115 belt.
She needs to a better health coach. She keeps getting injured.

Now Virna won her 2 last fights too including Andrade beating Dern & Marina. So as Lemos now beating 2 top fighters. Tatiana's last fight is in August last year wth

She keeps getting injured because she wants to be the female Khabib so bad that she can taste it. It's a reason why Khabib Nurmagmedov fought once a year during his career. He dealt with numerous injuries. That style of fighting isn't good for her. Constantly ramming into someone with your neck, shoulders and back is the quickest way to stay on the sidelines or completely out of commission. I think she should retire. It's not worth the potential lingering effects of injuries sustained during her sporadic career.
