Hey guys! In this tutorial I am showing you how I create an acrylic paint effect on my lettering within Adobe Photoshop! This is by no means the ONLY way to do this, I can imagine there are some other techniques to create a more liquid-like paint, but this is the method I personally use. You can probably tell that I am kinda rushing through this whole process in the video to try and constrain it to a reasonable length, however, when you come to using this tutorial, I would recommend you spend a lot more time perfecting each stroke before moving on to the next one. The end result will turn out far better that way! This tutorial can be used for anything, such as an abstract wall paper, or just cool paint brush strokes.
As always, if you use this tutorial and post the results on social media, please feel free to tag me as I love seeing what you guys come up with!
If you have any suggestions or requests for any tutorials, post them in the comments below.
Take it easy guys!

This is sick man, really digging the brush stroke effect!
If anyone is still wondering what is the brush: BRUSHES > LEGACY > THICK HEAVY > ROUND BRISTLE WITH SIZE 100.
THAAAANKS A LOT!
tnx!
I didn't know the mixer brush was so user friendly, I'l have to experiment with that. Also the oil and canvas textures! Didn't know there were some built in ones, that's awesome!!
I love the final texturing, very useful technique, thanks a bunch! 💕
Good job!) Nice result...)
i absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE your intro song!

This is the most clever use of the paint tool i've ever seen. Excellent work!
Hey mate, Have you checked if this is still applicable? With the 2020 updates I don't seem to have the right brush options and settings.
this. is. breathtaking.
Gosh , I think I'm gonna learn a lot of you. You have all my support and please keep making this kind of videos bc your tutorials are so usefull!
Hey Man! Love this tutorial.
Can you give any more information on the brush you're using? My display looks different to yours and I can't easily tell which brush I need to pick to match yours.
Thanks!

Sweet man ! Loved every single second of it
WHAT IS THE BRUSH YOU USE? BECAUSE I DO NOT ACHIEVE THE SAME PULLING EFFECT.
yea would like to know as well
This is so awesome. Gotta try this 👌
how did it come up the three strokes of H was separated? so you have file or they have separate layers?
Thank you for sharing this, much appreciated.
Just came across this neat tutorial! Thank you for the video! I’m wondering if you have tutorials on how to create the “Hipster” text in illustrator as separate pieces as opposed to in a single text box.
Love you bro!
❤️
Great tutorial!
very cool effect. thank you!
Amazing tutorial
Just amazing ...
Too good too good!
It's so cool!
Amazing! 😍
It's awesome! Thanks a lot!
great tutorial ! thank you
Lol I'm kinda late, but relief is the difference between the highest point and the lowest point in an area, mainly used in geography. It's the "depth" of the effect.
Awesome video man, definitely need to try this one out 😄
So sick
Awesome, thanks for this tutorial.
Was the original lettering done by hand, did you just sketch it with pencil or use a brush pen or highlighter?
excellent job !!!! SEE U SOON TOOO
*Amazing* 👍👍
Love it!Thanks for the video 🙄
SO, for the white painted backdrop on the finished layout, did you just use a white background to make those painted strokes?
Why is my 'Sample All Layers' option missing from the Brush options?? Its there for smudge and spot healing, but not for brushes.
Wow Amazing thank You so much...
Inspirated !
Dope
do u know is there any keyboard shortcut in mac to scroll around the color lookup table? thanks
shadows would be easier to make and flexible to move with just creating a clipping mask with the layer below, instead of deleting all the pixels outside the letter. ;)
I'm really new in this man but you are so helpfuly, i just have a question if i´m working in windows what the equivalent of hold comand and click :(, belive me i try everything but i cant find it, thanks for help :D
Holding the Control (Ctrl) key on windows has the same effect as Command on Mac :)
This is beauuuutiful! Thank you so much, man!!♥️♥️♥️♥️

Can you please tell me the name of the brush you used!
That, IS SICK!
good!
Any idea how to have the final piece as a vector file?
how did u even originally have the letter on different layers ..
from where you brought the font of H
Hi, what font did you use in this tutorial?!
- How did you separate the letters on different layers? I learn so much from your tutorials. Keep the good work!! :D
In illustrator you have to use expand tool then convert each text separate finally have to exports the text in Psd Format
Hello! I cant fint the brush you used. If i click on reset brushes i get general, dry, wet and special brushes. All of these tabs dont contain the brush you used. Is there any link or something from where I can download the brush. Even a name will do
same problem here! did u figure it out?
Same here! =\
I have a question, I don't have " oil paint" effect in stylize filter how can I get it please ?
You probably need to update your photoshop!
alguien tiene el pincel que uso? tengo la ultima version de photoshop y no me aparece
how I cut the writing into several parts ?
can this be done using procreate?
WOW!
It's «like» and «sub»!
Thanx!
Hi, wheats the first programme you're on? Audition or Illustrator?
Illustrator
Which font you are using?
I FUCKING LOVE YOU!
I FUCKING LOVE YOU MORE!
from where i can download that type of texts..
can u share the brush?
pls what is the name of the brush....
It's 'Rough Round Bristle', if your using CC, you can find it in Legacy Brushes at the bottom :)
@@sebcoxfilms Nope, it isn't the Rough Round Bristle, it's only Round Bristle. The Rough one is different and doesn't give the same effect. Brushes > Legacy > Thick Heavy > Round Bristle with size 100.
@@gabrielfluorite pretty close look though :) cheers
@@sebcoxfilms yeah, it's a cool effect as well, but it isn't the same :)
@@gabrielfluorite thanks bro
Which font is this?
