She said to Wiwibloggs that she was going to do something no one's ever done before at Eurovision - I hoped it's this, because it's so beautiful it almost made me cry.
Her Norwegian was so perfect. She can do a better Oslo accent than me, and I AM FROM NORWAY! She is amazing! I love this so much. So much talent in one person. Oh my...
Sean Andre Harding i'm pretty sure she will do it. Because she said somewhere that she is changing the performance and that no one has never done it before. At least i hope she will.
But the thing is they hired Brian Friedman to do the show and he tweeted about it too. It makes me still believe it's a dance number unless they do a complete 180 and take ''The Winner Takes it All'' approach and actually do this piano version but I don't see it happening since Monsters is her lead single and this version is not included on the album track list either. I hope I'm wrong though.
I have my suspicions that it could be the version she'll do on stage but obviously the quick-tempo version, because she said she's going to do something that's never been done before... so perhaps it could be? Even if it was the quick-tempo version, I think the audience would be drawn in because it would be like " SHE. IS. SINGING. IN. 34. LANGUAGES."
For those pointing out her very Finnish-Swedish accent, that is probably because she actually can speak Swedish, and that is her natural accent, coming from Finland. I really liked that she didn't force herself into a fake "Stockholm-Swedish" accent.
Yeah, I actually like the sound of this version more than the original pop beat. It made me like the song a bit more than before. Also, her Estonian pronunciation was really good for a finn.
Well, you'd think that, but actually no. I have a lot of Finnish family friends and every time they try to speak Estonian, it sounds strange. Of course I can understand them, but the accent is completely different (as in which syllable they stress) and their vowels are very throaty, kind of like Danish sounds compared to Swedish. And I'm pretty sure my Finnish would sound terrible as well if I used Estonian pronunciation. The thing is that since we know that our languages are so similar, we also assume that the pronunciation is the same and don't pay attention to it when trying to speak the other language. The jokes "Finnish is drunk Estonian" and "Estonian is drunk Finnish" exist for a reason. But at the same time I LOVE that our languages are so similar and yet so different. I have heard so many great embarrassing and funny stories about people saying the wrong thing because they assume Finnish and Estonian are more similar than they actually are.
Her Ukrainian was perfect and Russian was almost good (I couldn't understand one of the words) but it doesn't matter! It was spectacular! How could she remember all these words??? Now I really started liking her. WOW!
She is amazing, the pop version does not make justice to her singing talent! An acústic version showcases her raw talent much better. I'm Portuguese but followed Saara's participation on the UK X Factor and she is just amazing
přøŵøķæțøŕ fæbîåñ especially that she never even hits that high note in "Monsters"correctly live. I don't think not being able to achieve the correct pitch makes the singer that talented to be honest. Don't wanna be salty, but just be real.
Hey, Jake! I like the original version but this one is so much better. We can feel her emotion while singing in so many languages (the language of all the Eurovision countries). I'm Brazilian and I can say that her portuguese sounds very good.
As a Finn I'm so proud of Saara! She can seem a bit goofy but she is smart as hell! Just read those 1400+ comments to the video that is two days old! People from countries like Greece, Macedonia and Azerbaijan tell how well she pronounced their language. Only Dutch wasn't that perfect. This woman is a perfectionist on everything she does :)
her greek were pretty good although instead of saying im not gonna hold on to these monsters anymore she said ia not gonna hold on to these fears anymore and af course other than her prononciation which was pretty good considering how difficult our language is she was perfect!!
The Dutch pronunciation can be really difficult to do perfect, but she nailed the second sentence so I was still really impressed and I think more Dutch speaking people should be. It might be only one of the few "mistakes" she made
If the song is gorgeous, then it will be masterpiece in any language!!!Sarah is just a huge fellow, this performance needs to be sung at Eurovision !!!! Who is for?
Awesome reaction from you! I am from Finland and I am fan of Saara Aalto! I hope that Saara wins and brings us victory first time for 12 years! Finnish sentence, Enää pelkää en. Means: I am not scared anymore
I love Eurovision because it makes us connect with people from other countries and what she's done is just perfect. 4:23 perfect pronunciation (I'm sure she pronounced every word correctly though. She's the queen).
Yeah she is super talented, in many ways. This is her version of "Frozen" in 15 languages: czcams.com/video/aljmNEGWzrs/video.html And yes her slow piano versions are great, like the Winner Takes It All in X Factor UK: czcams.com/video/l7czLhG72mk/video.html
I love her personality, she's humble and sweet. This version of the song brings tears to my eyes everytime I listen to it. Her Albanian is really good too. It's amazing how our voices change when we speak/sing in different languages. She sounded almost Albanian. She's really worked hard in the pronunciation. I can say that her Polish and Portuguese (together with Italian, French and Spanish) sound lovely. Her Portuguese sounds more like Brazilian Portuguese though. Sorry not sorry Tugas :P great video Jake, thank you!
br3menPT I based my comment on her pronunciation of the "s" sound :D which is common among foreigners who speak/attempt to speak Portuguese (I do the same sometimes :P)
Hello. I saw her live in her hometown after the X-factor final. It was middle of the winter, and it was a outdoor gig. She was very sick but Still her performance was phenomenal. She is pure talent. Thanks and greetings from Finland =)
The funniest thing... since i stared to watching your channel every new Eurovision clip what i watching i imagine your react haha With Saara's Monsters in 34 Languages was that sime thing, when i saw this i wanted to see your reaction right now! Your biggest fan, much love from Poland! :))
Saara aalto is very talented. She can fluently speak In 5 different languages but she sings in many different languages. Saara loved languages and her voice is so strong too.
Hi Jake love your videos, but I always find myself skipping the beginning because I am so excited for your reaction. How do you feel about putting all comments in the end or maybe keep them under 30 seconds? Much love! ♥️
Yes, it´s cool, and a great intention in the Eurovision spirit. As many pointed out in the comments, obviously the dialects and pronounciations can´t be perfect for every language. And she is doing the swedish lines in a very finnish dialect. Just a comment to u Jake, just because u can pronounce a couple of lines in a language, doesn´t mean u know or can speak the whole language. Which is obviously the case here, Sara doesn´t speak all these 34 languages fluently. But again, I love the intent, and think this song should be performed at Eurovision instead of the actual version she is going to perform.
ritaelovee It makes total sense. I love Saara. She deserved a much higher place in my opinion. I haven’t stopped listening to her new album since it was released. 💙😊
You might have noticed, the languages she learned the lyrics for were done in a manner that made this flow perfectly thus probably making it far more easier to retain the language flow as she did. very talented indeed.
Saara do not speak all these languages but she speaks many. To sing in other languages is easier especially if someone has a memory like hers. People sing in choirs and in several languages. Some has a incredible talent to learn many languages, and easiness like Saara. I myself only speak 7 but in my past I was singing in a choir and we sang in several other languages whatI do not speak. She is awesomely wonderful and I am sure she is a winner, most of us Finns loves her and support.
I love that she ends with her own language😊😊 By the way, I speak five languages: catalan (my mother tongue), spanish, english, italian and portuguese, and she sang in four of those languages, and I understood everything she sang, the accent could be better 8n portuguese and spanish, but I thought that italian was quite good. I mean, I can't judge too much about italian and portuguese though. But with spanish I can, cause I speak spanish since I was 3 and, I don't consider myself spanish but officially I am.
Lol yes, people CAN actually speak 36 languages or even more. Search it up. Some people are naturally talented ASF for languages. They're called polyglots.
Sychlo Killent I'm not denying that it's rare but you literally said it's impossible, that no one can do it and I've seen a handful of people that can.
Nathan Constable 6 languages is not that rare for a finnish person especially if you're interested in languages, everyone in finland knows at least 3 languages
Her danish wasn't perfect, but it was pretty damn close. There's two of the words only, who gives her away: Skræmme. The ræ part. And she said "nu" like someone from probably Norway would say it.
Yeah out of this world and that's even too much a used phrase compared to her singing here I was also totally blown away... her power and her "naturality" at the same time .. I, like you, also wish she would do more like this acustic and totally agree her talent comes so much more clear... can also recommend this too in link czcams.com/video/aljmNEGWzrs/video.html
No problem, I speak effortless British English, some American, Spanish from Spain, some Mexican. Italian from Italy but also a pretty weird mafia from Long Island. Swedish both in Moomin and from Stockholm. Danish (not the pastry), German and Norwegian. And some Finnish, to finish this! :-D
The way you say Saara Aalto is hilarious. From a Finnish person by the way. Saara is an incredible singer, yes. You love Finland? Well hello there then, we're pretty awesome.
Hi Jake. No , she dosent speak 34 languages but she can sing each part of this song in respective language, only the part of this song. Im brazilian and i speak portuguese and the portuguese part she dosent sing very well and the spanish part as well (i mean the portuguese and spanish of her is not good), but she did a very great job!! Amazing.
She is amazing, she also speaks japanese and chinese and has actually lived in both of those countries and done some songs in those languases aswell! czcams.com/video/jwmbXFDIxo8/video.html
7:36 wait are you serious? XDDD nah, speaking 34 languages is something almost impossible. she just learned the song. but it's still very impressing how she nails the pronunciation in every language
Personally, I love this version. I myself speak 5 languages German which is my mother tongue dan English, French, Spannisch and Italian and I get confused sometimes it is not so easy when you speak several languages.
Oh my...
I loved the way that part sounded 😆
Same here >-
n Sherlock, she is from Finland
She is also completely fluent in Chinese. Even released an entire album in Chinese. :P
Imagine if this was the Eurovision version!
Sean Andre Harding i'm pretty sure she will do it. Because she said somewhere that she is changing the performance and that no one has never done it before. At least i hope she will.
Yes I think she mentioned that on Wiwibloggs.
But the thing is they hired Brian Friedman to do the show and he tweeted about it too. Even if it was the quick-tempo version, I think the audience would be drawn in because it would be like " SHE. IS. SINGING. IN. 34. LANGUAGES."
Well that would be something else and she might even win it, if that's the case.
Yes it was. I liked how She pronounced Ü ;)
Yes well Finnish and Estonian are closely related languages, so our pronunciation is very similar :)
Дарина Грищенко Polish was Perfect too

Моя армія зі мною (укр. моя армия со мной).
Daryna Hryshchenko Norwegian was perfect 🇳🇴
She is amazing, the pop version does not make justice to her singing talent! An acústic version showcases her raw talent much better. I'm Portuguese but followed Saara's participation on the UK X Factor and she is just amazing

most talented singer in eurovision in last 10 years
No. Comments like that are so ridiculous.
@@rafadydkiemmacha7543 potwierdzam.
přøŵøķæțøŕ fæbîåñ especially that she never even hits that high note in "Monsters"correctly live. I don't think not being able to achieve the correct pitch makes the singer that talented to be honest. Don't wanna be salty, but just be real.

Marije ikr for example our G sound is pretty hard to pronounce but she did good on the second sentence
Her Estonian was so good for a Finn. I am in love with this version. Love from Estonia❤️🇪🇪🇫🇮

Her portuguese sound more Portuguese from Portugal...she say "mente" not "mentxi"
br3menPT I based my comment on her pronunciation of the "s" sound :D which is common among foreigners who speak/attempt to speak Portuguese (I do the same sometimes :P)
I'm an Israeli and she's a Finn, yet her 3 words of Hebrew came surprising as it sounded as Israeli as what I hear on my life. Well done :)
You should also watch Saara Aalto sings frozen - let it go in 15 language and some are in different than this song 😊
Hello. I saw her live in her hometown after the X-factor final. It was middle of the winter, and it was a outdoor gig. She was very sick but Still her performance was phenomenal. She is pure talent. Thanks and greetings from Finland =)
glad you liked it, I knew you would , another great video

Jake, great video!!! :) Sara is so talented..Big greetings from Serbia...
Much love! ♥️
She is the best
Thank you for your comments of our talented Saara Aalto. We are so proud of her here in Finland! ❤️
Saara is from Finland and I am from Finland!! The voice of Saara is like an angel!
I think Saara should perform this version at the contest. That is amazing. I just love her voice.

HER GREEK WAS VERY GOOD!!!!!
Ναι!!
Hi Jake! Thanks, I really enjoyed you enjoying Saara sanggg. Did you see her live version of it at the Eurovision Village?
Imagine if she did this in esc like wow I don't think anyone could do the same 😄 She's freaking amazing
Had to subscribe just because of this video because as a Finn, I really appreciate your points😂 I know my comment doesn't make any sense but still😄
ritaelovee It makes total sense. I love Saara. She deserved a much higher place in my opinion. I haven’t stopped listening to her new album since it was released. 💙😊
I know a lot of pronounces of these languages and also some languages, and it sounds about right!
She is soooo amazing....I know 8 languages besides my Own ( Danish ) but Saara is soooo skilled.....amazing....she nailed the ones I know....
Notice that she had no lyrics what so ever she remembered them.
You are great ;) maybe people can now see why we love her :D
She nailed Macedonian! (: Her song is in my top 10!
That was amazing. 💞
(Btw she doesn't speak 34 languages. But she memorized that like a boss! 💪)
Greetings from Finland! 😘
Her spanish were almost perfect ❤️
I'm live in Finland♡ and Saara aalto is 👌🙌💖good very good!! I'm Finnish girl
Saara so underrated she has talent plain to see compared to ones that meant to be talented x
Where are you from?
Nice video ^^

Didn't expect in 1000 years for Albanian to be in there. Wow.

Mind blown!
Noone can speak 36 languages lol. She just remembered the lyrics. She can actually speak 6 languages.
Sychlo Killent that's still very impressive.

Quiet inner query, a quick quest for a quite quintessential q word. How many were in the queue? That is the quacky question :)
Her danish wasn't perfect, but it was pretty damn close. There's two of the words only, who gives her away: Skræmme. The ræ part. And she said "nu" like someone from probably Norway would say it.
I'm finnish and I love Saara's voice! 😍
What country are you from ?😀

Very good in polish ,,Dzisiaj Boję Się,, ( today I am afraid ) , i from poland :) 😃😂
Cris Topher oh , i think it's ,,today i'm afraid,, (she speak in polish ) ,,dzis boje sie,,
Cris Topher oh ,,i Aint scared no more,, in polish (Nie boję się już)
To nie może być przetłumaczone idealnie bo by nie wszystko pasowało
Actually, she said "I dziś nie boję się": "And today I'm not afraid".
Sara is great, totaly agree with you what you said about her. Btw have you done a react video to swedens song ?.
Björn Nilsson Yes I have made a reaction video Sweden.
Its Saara
Björn Nilsson
Her name is Saara, I'm Finnish, I'd know. However, that's a really common mistake.
Wow ...if she was singing like that just her and the piano she would get a higher place ..
Turn on the subtitles for this one...
I love his react for polish part
I'm From Poland and she sing it very good in this hard language
I can say The Portuguese, Spanish, Russian and German is really goog
I watch your face Jake over and over again :D
The way you say Saara Aalto is hilarious. From a Finnish person by the way.
Saara is an incredible singer, yes.
You love Finland? Well hello there then, we're pretty awesome.
Shou Shang De Xin 受伤的心 - She is pretty good in this...
Helloo Jake! You should listen Poets of The Falls. Any song will do. Greetings from Finland ❤️
Amazing.
xxCarlosEdxx maybe it's european portuguese and spanish?
the Dutch part wasn't perfect as well
She is amazing, she also speaks japanese and chinese and has actually lived in both of those countries and done some songs in those languases aswell! czcams.com/video/jwmbXFDIxo8/video.html
7:36 wait are you serious? XDDD nah, speaking 34 languages is something almost impossible. she just learned the song. but it's still very impressing how she nails the pronunciation in every language
I'm impressed, her Lithuanian was good!
Wowwwowwowowwowowowoowowow
I am from Lithuania and I couldn't understand a word... lol good luck with that. The song is good btw
Hello from Finland 🙂❤️
Minna Mäkelä Hello from Greece❤
Vau Saara is so amazing!
Your face was like WTF 😂😂
Her Finnish was quite good 😄
Personally, I love this version. I myself speak 5 languages German which is my mother tongue dan English, French, Spannisch and Italian and I get confused sometimes it is not so easy when you speak several languages.
i think she should've won , anyways , love from Portugal !
