It's actually really cool to see a youtuber with over 50k subscribers playing Mindustry. Its pretty underated and the devs do an amazing job. Hopefully your videos will boost the game's popularity.
I feel exactl the same most of the channels who play os soley pvp or no mics just not great content I feel wanderbots will do a great job of this and also inspire other channels too

Menu music takes like 3 sec to start.
Some tips:
You can build belts over other belts and it will automatically build a junction.
That glowing 'resource' is like magma, it can be used later for thermal power generation.
Middle-click on a block to instantly select said block.
Enemies can shoot over terrain.
Distributors and Routers can output directly onto the side of belts.
Use the binds at the bottom of the screen (when building) to pause, cancel, and select things to copy (E, Q, F, respectively).
Anything built in the drop zone will be destroyed when enemies land (and you!).
Destroying and rebuilding damaged buildings will repair them (think of those black lines on the walls before they break, that's damage).
Building Junctions along a straight belt line can be used as storage (each block can hold a few items) but be aware not to place things like routers and distributers next to them!
Launching to new sectors you haven't yet captured costs resources!
The highlighted and different looking sectors are the main areas, the one off in the distance being the one you should go to second.
The music takes a little while to start once you're in-game.
You can leave a place to go check up on others or have multiple sectors going at once, and it won't cost resources if you already have it.
Research for a better drill starts to the left of the mechanical drill (right above the centre) For pneumatic drills you need to unlock graphite.
Core upgrades place *over* already built cores, make sure nothing is in the way!
To get the pneumatic drill I believe it is crater you need to capture it is ground zero frozen forest then the craters, you will get meta glass then the drill the progression after craters is pretty quick

Also of note, it states on the dev blog that other areas/sectors you've captured (and secured, maybe???) produce resources while you play other areas/sectors.

The enemies go whichever way has less walls to break through. Put more walls on the paths with less guns to funnel them at the guns

@@moltengears7483 From how I see their unit AI work, they seem to target walls even if they're just passing thru. Also, if they see any weak points in ur wall formation, like large walls on almost everywhere and a small wall on one segment, they're much more likely to target it, not always less walls, but rather which ones are easier to break through. And they also seem to try to find quicker paths in the process, so if they destroy the wall, and see a quicker path from there, then they usually head to that path.
(Either that's how they work or I'm just being another potato brain in a society full of carrots)

A sector can only be attacked if there is an enemy base in an adjacent sector.

Usually what I do is actually spend the first few minutes plugging the enemy spawn point as best I can. That way, once it’s able to hold of the horde, I can focus on building during those waves instead of acting like a turret.
Most importantly, if the waves aren’t happening, I’ll then have an Overload Node shift the excess to the ship.
I usually build my flying miner army so I never have to drive copper or Lead into the core. Then I plug the entrance with electric guns and a small power generator.
Moda can be extremely well done or "here is a gun that shoots everything and doesnt use resources"

Hey man thanks for making the original video on mindustry, It was my first exposure to the game and I ended up playing it nonstop for the next two years, along with meeting some great people and communities. My life has become so much better ever since I found the original video and game lmao, thanks a bunch! :) ECAN for life
Please stick at this series there are very few people with good quality videos that play this game it will be interesting to watch you learn and become efficient as I know you will be able to teach along the way good luck :)

Where did you get the idea that a router line behind the turrets was bad? It's in fact the most space efficient method of feeding turrets...

Because alternating underflow gates and routers (or overflows and routers) allows a greater belt throughput ... or at least it did in 5.0, didn't test it in 6.0 yet.
@@shadoxxHD Good to know, but what I meant was "as opposed to building the routers 1 tile away and having 1 tile of belt feeding into the turret/machine".
Seems like a waste of space to me.
@@shadoxxHD last time I checked the routers back-fed into the underflow gates and blocked everything up. Not sure if this is still the case though.
@@MirageGSM Having routers directly next to machines means they can also *output* into the routers, potentially clogging their input belts.

Resources were previously launched at end of survival or when u launched them. Now u can research in game, and launching goes to different sectors. In essence, you can now make any resource many factory and send those resources at any time(given you have power) to any other location. Also dark sand exists.
Those spots are heat energy on when your have better stuff & make sure you have good defense & tap on the question marks to read more information & plus you can place the router behind the turrets & make sure to destroy the scrapes likes battery & other stuff too on the maps

Wander to trick the games AI is to make a funnel path so they take it cuz they follow the path that is quickest to your core which is one without a wall or has a gap think of like a tower defence base path

Yeah, one of the changes in v6 is that any resource can go into the core now, and also if your core is full on a resource instead of backing up it just incinerates the extra so mixing resources on a belt actually works now

I love that part, I used to have a massive section of every map devoted to sorting and destroying all extra stuff. And having a lone piece of coal get in your belts sucked!
Also if you double click the scatters or the other types of guns like the duels you can actually shape shift into it and you can actually control it if it’s only a gun
