First you must try your best to understand - "tens of thousands" sounds like a big number and it is to some degree, but in the context of 1.4 billion people, that's literally nothing. Second, why do we assume that people are leaving because they hate it there? Have you ever thought that these people could possibly be bad people? Running away from debts or committed crimes? Why do we keep assuming people who has to use unlawful ways to flee a country, must be good, law abiding citizens?

It's not just moving to the US but to UK and probably other countries too. I met a Chinese lady who we became a couple and she came to the UK for 6 months at a time on a tourist visa.We did this twice, to establish a relationship to the Government. Up to this point she had been very loving and fun to be with. For the third trip we applied for a marriage visa which we got. Soon after her arrival we married and soon after that from a loving wife she became a distant stranger it was like two strangers living under the same roof. I had to notify the Visa office the relationship had broken down and they revoked her visa and she was told to leave the UK and return to China. So although we did everything legally what she was really after was a UK visa, not me..

You did a wonderful job researching and presenting the facts, and then added perspective that I think helps to bring clarity to the chaos that is currently happening on our border (as it pertains to people illegally crossing from China). This was very helpful. Living in China seems like living with one of those crazy kind of parents where one minute they'll praise you, and the next minute they're yelling at you for something you didn't even do. You never know what to do around them, so you just end up tightly wound and do barely anything just to avoid the potential craziness. I can imagine that's stressful existence for the Chinese people. 😢 Thank you, again, for doing this video. Have a wonderful finish to your week! ❤

As a 30+ yo middle class who lived in both mainland China and 'The West' part of the world for approximately half of my life each. China is not the hellscape that's being painted or blindly assumed by some comments, but I do agree that their governance and policies are indeed very opaque, decidedly Authoritarian and top down. Bear in mind in more free and transparent western societies we are influenced and manipulated all the same, just side to side, pitting one against another. Grass is greener and whatnot.
While information can be factual, civilian level research is still unprofessional at best and often fall victim to confirmation bias. It can be argued that information presented here is selective in nature and cherrypicked with a clear intention in mind. I don't fault this lady because a video has to have a topic and have to have a point to make, she picked the right material and backed her claim perfectly fine.

I feel like the analysis is missing the last step. OK, so the CCP has conflicting and contradictory rules. And due to this it's possible for it to allow videos that promote illegal immigration to the US, while at the same time claiming that China is the best country in the world. But it still doesn't explain the fundamental reason for why the CCP would do that. What could be the underlying reason for it not just tolerating these videos, but overseeing an active promotional campaign to ensure that massive amounts of Chinese people leave the country, at a time when the country's population is in decline? Is it because the economic downturn in China has made them decide on a short-term, desperate move: allow people to leave the country to have fewer jobseekers in the hopes of balancing the job market? Or is it because they know that when Chinese people are nudged to leave, the most liberal and anti-CCP people will leave first, which benefits the party?

It might also be an intentional honey pot (i.e. check who accesses the videos and thus put them on a list for possible dessertion) but i think that might be giving a very big slow working goverment apparatus to much credit.

you assume anything with the government is slow. While it's true in the civil service sector due to lack of funding, lack of care, the policing government body has to be fast. @@notme943 I am not sure, i thought a bit more about it; and i think we can both agree that the ccp consists of people and people usually do what benefits them.
true they need to have a 'common ideology' at least on teh surface to be part of the ccp. but i dont see videos about immigration infringing on anyone persons or this apparatus interest directly (at least not at first). and even if it infringes on the apparatus's intrests, people in it would still need to care which they probably at first don't (until it gets viral)
so it stands to reason nobody did anything until the cpp directly lost face over it, then the 'common ideology' kicked in - and the issue was addressed and yes, once you infringe on anyone's interest (or public enough on the 'common ideology'), the cpp can act fast, but thats basically the only reason/possibility.

Yes, the people learn from social media on the southern border, and yes, there is little chance that Chinese government doesn't know about those videos - these are already widely known facts... Here I am thinking this video may provide some insight, or personal opinion even, about why the CCP allows it but no. It ended up being a 15mins video of China bashing. I personally live in Malaysia but my aunt (my father's sister) is a Chinese national still living on Hainan Island today. She has 4 children, 2 of whom were born after the one-child policy was put in place, and they are still alive today, so i'd appreciate some evidence on the so-called "forced abortion, forced birth control and murdering of perfectly healthy babies happened in China."

I've ask many of them about the one child policy, and although it is enforced, there are many ways to get by it without getting into trouble. At the end of the day, it's human lives and the Chinese knows the pain to be separated, or have your family taken away all too well because of the Japanese.

@@DubboU True, many ways to get around it. In the case of my cousins, what i understand is my aunt and uncle were fined by the Chinese authorities for my cousins. Which is why i find especially the, "murdering of perfectly healthy babies" part baseless propaganda piece.

Actually it's a clue. When someone mentions CCP it means 99.9% he/she doesn't understand China. Just like a white person with blue/pink hair with a nose piercing, it means 99.9% he/she is a woke person.

Our Canadian PM was once asked what is your favourite country besides Canada? He basically replied China, because of their basic dictatorship.
