The core of Smoker’s character isn’t that he wants strong pirates to go to the Grand Line but that he especially looks down on weak pirates and will begrudgingly respect strong ones, but will still try to arrest them.
My take is that zoro was going to use only two swords but when kuina died he took her sword and use it with his mouth because he will die with both of their dream at that point if someone chop his head that why I think if this cursed sword didn't accept him he will lost his right hand and will not be use that hand ever
