    Went to my local Rieju dealer yesterday and looked at the 300 Pro. It is absolutely awesome and as soon as I sell my present bike I will be buying the Rieju.

    Awesome video, you took the time to really break everything down. I thinking seriously into getting one. thanks

    Awesome review, Rieju is an old company going back to the 30's for bicycles and the 50's for motorcycles, they should know how to run a business. I would not be afraid of them fading away anytime soon. It comes down to dealer network, if there is one where you live and parts supply.

      Parts are pretty easy with CPD Direct having everything local in the US that can be shipped to you. Dealers might be more hit or miss but anymore I try to avoid dealers at all costs unless I have to go. CO sadly we really only have one dealer but we have been told another may be coming to Colorado Springs soonish.

    A counterbalance motor is just masking a problem of a motor that is trying to destroy itself I would rather have a non-counter balanced motor that is relatively smooth

    • @pharettface
      @pharettface  Před rokem

      Single piston engines are out of balance naturally. Idk some might be worse than others but given the amount of bikes I've been on that have them I really have no issues either way. I just think it really doesn't make that much of a difference on two strokes. Even the Beta 300 I'm riding with isn't that much smoother.

    I just bought a 2010 gas gas ec, I'd love to try it beside a new Rieju, and some other brands!

    All valid points .The seat height can be addressed by fitting the Ranger seat (purchase from CPD direct) its about 20mm lower or its easy to shave the foam to lower it 25mm . You can purchase a H4 led High /low beam globe on eBay for less then 20 bucks .Gearing is a personal choice and Reiju use 13/48 as a compromise because obviously they don't know who's buying the bike . Great tracks ,look like fun ...... If you Stand you're riding the bike ,if your sitting down the bikes riding you ....great vid

      Around the 20 mile mark of this stuff there was lots of the bike riding me haha. I get lazy but then I've never been afraid of dropping a bike.

    Good review.Rieju is on the short list.Soon to be 63 and i think the 200 or 300 ranger might be the way to go.Steamboat powersports is the Colorado dealer.

    Reiju also offer a linkage system that can raise the seat height 7mm or lower the seat up to 31 mm.Its standard on the Ranger but will fit the Racing and Pro.Along with the seat it would lower the bike over 2 inches in theory .It may alter the geometry of the rear suspension ,but Im sure us "weekend Warriors "wouldn't notice. All on CPD site
    Reiju are definitely "Short Ass" aware

    the seat height sounds awesome to me being 6'3 lol. Theres one for sale by me im really interested in

  • @HarduroSK
    @HarduroSK Před rokem +2

    We have measured real seat height on multiple bikes, and Rieju is just as high as BETA 2022-23 even if beta claims it to be 3cm lower.. TM 2019 is even higher... KTM 2017-22 are just as high with 96cm seat height... I have lowered my seat on Rieju and set rear sag to 130mm for hard enduro and now I have seat height of 91cm.. just as high as beta xtrainer... love it this way as I am just 174cm tall... I think it was much higher before suspension running in

    • @ktmkaos
      @ktmkaos Před rokem +2

      Wow ...130 mm sag ?You would be nearly halfway through rear stroke just by sitting on it wouldnt you?

    • @pharettface
      @pharettface  Před rokem +1

      Thats odd. My 19 Beta 390 is a fair bit shorter. Either way I've gotten pretty used to the Rieju now. Just don't stop haha

    Hello, Not sure if you tried the gearing we talked over? I just did my 2022 MR 300 six day model and changed the front sprocket to a 12T All I can honestly say is this will climb anything you put in front of it with this gearing change!!

    That was a tough terrain but beautiful country. Can you touch on service intervals and their cost. People really love 2 strokes for backwoods but I'm about 280lbs and might be too heavy for this bike.

    • @TGM_Offroad
      @TGM_Offroad Před rokem +1

      You will need to up the spring rates but other than that 280lbs isn't too big. I luckily have lost the weight but used to weigh 280 and my 2018 GasGas XC300 (basically the same bike) handled it no problem. Very little maintenance needed. Gear oil change every few rides, air filter every other ride, top end around 100 hours and your good to go. Piston replacement if DIY runs under 300 in parts.

    • @pharettface
      @pharettface  Před rokem +2

      You should be fine with some stuffer springs but the bike absolutely has plenty of power for you. TGM is right on, although my buddy on a 2012 EC300 was going 300 to 400 hours on a top end pretty easy.

    • @mincedmash796
      @mincedmash796 Před rokem +1

      Thanks guys. My only experience on two stroke was using a cheap 80cc kit mounted on bicycle. Needless to say, they didn't last long, but I loved taking them to Florida in winters and ride on dirt roads.

    • @pharettface
      @pharettface  Před rokem +2

      @@mincedmash796 Yeah these 300cc 2 strokes are 54hp beasts. Very different. If your in Florida I know a pretty awesome dealer down that way. Von Baron motorcycles is a Rieju dealer.
