This video kicks off an adventure north to Alaska on a 100-year-old wooden boat. My own journey begins in a supporting role for the Race to Alaska (or "R2AK"), a 750 mile epic adventure race where the only rule is you cannot have an engine on board. This is Part One of two videos covering the first leg of the race (Port Townsend to Victoria). I depart Seattle through the Ballard Locks, and then transit north across Puget Sound to Port Townsend, where Argonaut serves as a support vessel for the #r2ak Media Team. Oh, and of course we find an excuse to shoot the cannon to wake up the town at 5am!
