The GA2100 gshock, also known as Casio Royal Oak, AP G-Shock and Casioak.
The GA-2100 has gotten a lot of attention from people that are not into G-Shocks usually, and that is the result of a much cleaner and simpler design of this model. It looks a lot more serious, and less like a toy. I personally LOVE the design and love the size! The GA 2100 comes in more and more color variations meaning Casio is aware of it's success. Although I got this all black version that looks the coolest, if I were to buy again, I would got for the regular black and white, as the legibility on this is pretty poor for everyday wear!
We didn't have to wait too long as aftermarket steel bezel and bracelets are available.
The first two generations were so-so but this 3rd one really transforms the GA2100 into a real Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. It costs almost as much as the watch itself, but who cares, it creates a beautiful and tough Casioak :)
The only problem is that the flaring of the end links make this impossible to wear on anything smaller than 7", so if you have a large wrist, I envy you :)

I would think about it as expansive. When you buy a low-price automatic, you mostly pay for the design and the braclet not for the movement which is quit cheap. If the quality of the bracelet is good I think it is worth it. I'm now considering buying both watch and modpack.

I have this mod in black with my GA-B 2100 solar and blue-tooth, and it looks stunning!! Worth the €75,- btw.
Very nice, though I chose to go for the G Steel interpretation, because it goes close to the Royal Oak style, while retaining the G Shock DNA.
It looks pretty good. If there's a gunmetal variant, that would be my choice.

If you play with the side case flathead screws a little and align them while fitting it does a lot for the final look

A multicoated sapphire glass would be icing on the cake.
I think I still prefer the Gshock style metal bezel/band to this style that attempts to make it less G-Shock. I don't want the fake screws. I'd rather have the "G-Shock" and "Protection" stamps with a G-Shock style band. But glad this is out there for those that want it.
G-Shock just released a metal version of this series recently just exactly like what you wanted.

Casio EFS-S570YD-1AJF Edifice Solar, sapphire glass. Not g shock and only 100m water resistant, but ready made “casioaks” style metal chronograph for around US$200.
The perfect solution is this same v3 in titanium. I found the v1 in titanium but not v3 yet.
Titanium scratches a lot easier than stainless steel and would be more expensive.
Did my Casioak 3.0 mod with a positive screen as it is much easier to read

I am very tempted to get this mod but I have small wrist and I am not sure for a beater use this strap would be able to take the beating the resin does.
And with the questionable quality I am not sure its a strap you would be comfortable changing every few days.

@@anonimushbosh Swiss companies take it very seriously. They won't bother suing some brand in China because they know Chinese would do nothing about it (ask Land Rover). But Casio could get a penalty if they did that.
@@traviswalker8933 Lots of big companies made faithful copies of the S&G Datejust in the 80s & 90s. I know Seiko, Sekonda & Bulova did and I’m sure that’s only the beginning of a very long list and. Hamilton have a near identical copy of a Heuer chronograph (which for all I know was designed by a third firm)... the list goes on and on and on....
I can't say I'm a fan of that strap, as it looks too sharp at the edges and a good fit isn't guaranteed as the clasp doesn't allow for small adjustments.
The 1st versions looked MUCH nicer.
I have the second version and IMO it's better as you can mix it up still. Half resin hals SS or full SS

Yes it would actually... definitely would give a sporty vibe... be careful with this mod though, if your wrist is 7” or lower it won’t fit as nicely.
@@rojaecrosby1554 thanks for your answer! I must admit that I sent back the all black one and got the one with the white markers after I saw pictures from the all black in the silver mod. I also think it still looks good but preferred the other one.
I am super happy with it and I have a rather small wrist (~ 7,1 in). It fits pretty snug now and I had the opportunity to even go down three links!

Hey man! Really dope video! I want to pick up one of these for myself but am afraid that my wrist is too small for this mod. I saw that you said that you should at least have a 7 or 7.5" wrist. My wrist is 7" so technically this should fit but I also saw that your wrist looks bigger than mine. I prefer the smaller GMA-S2100 with this mod... Not sure about the overhang of the slightly larger SA2100 on 7" wrists... The white dial looks great with the silver... just like the white dialled AP... 😂

The underside edges on these are way too harsh. I manually machined the inside strap and gave it bevels. Much more comfortable now.
I used the digital camo bezel and bracelet on mine.

How do you remove the links to adjust it. Im unscrewing it with a small flathead screwdriver but now the screw wont turn anymore. Is it pressure fitted in and just looks like it screws in?
never mind, you unscrew it until it stops or freely spins then use a toothpick to push the rest of the pin through. im dumb
