    that is the difference between a simple streetfighter and professional fighter, the last one can take several blows in the head, get knocked down and still endure through several rounds, due to discipline and stamina he acquired through consistent training. Conversely, streetfighter can only rely on a lucky hard knockout, otherwise, his body can not withstand a long fight.

      Yeah no kidding. You'll be laying on the ground dead after training here in Thailand and they'll tell you you're ready to fight in the ring. An actual fight is 5 3 minute rounds. We train 1-2 hours straight with very few short breaks. By the time you reach the water and take 1 drink they're hurrying you back to fight. Usually around 4 1 minute breaks per hour if that. So you're conditioned to fight 15min without stopping and these training rounds are nonstop fighting. I used to fall asleep in the cab ride home due to exhaustion.

  • @broncosgjn
    @broncosgjn Před 6 lety +82

    "Streetfighter" has some boxing background. He uses footwork, uses distance, has head movement in defense and works some angles. Most of his punching starts tight and with power but he has to over reach because he has to counter the feet. He is done after he takes a few kicks to his thighs. He is on his feet but limping and hurt bad. He has lost his ability to move and he knows he cant get away or put power into his punches because power comes from the legs. At that point the Thai is playing with him and could have ended it way sooner. Smaller Muay Thai fighters are most vulnerable in the initial encounters with boxers or other types of fighters while their opponent has his movement intact. They try to survive the initial encounters and land those nasty thigh kicks over and over to the same spot to disable the movement. Once done then they ruthlessly force the fight into movement to increase the pain and go on the hunt. Guys who fight them say you limp for weeks after they work you over.

      Yes, Muay Thai is 100% stamina and breaking down opponents body.
      I am a farang training in Thailand, it's soooo much work. Thai fighters hit gym daily and are constantly doing some type of cardio exercise and practice kicks constantly. Their bodies are solid muscle! This is why they can last forever in fights, even when receiving strong blows.
      I'm 6'2" and weigh 195 lbs. Even though I am much larger than everyone I train with, they can all easily beat the hell out of me without breaking a sweat. Even this 15 year old kid could wipe the floor with me haha. They are warriors to say the least!

  • @Verinius
    @Verinius Před 5 lety +135

    Master Cha landed solid low kicks to the guy's leg. He kept doing it and it really hurt the guy. So his plan was catch Master Cha's foot when he does a low kick. But Master Cha kicked HIGH this time and knocked him out.
    3:03 See how the guy lowers his left hand, expecting a low kick. He tries to block and hopefully catch Master Cha's foot.
    Actually, I think this was Master Cha's strategy all along. Early in the fight you could see him doing low kicks, then suddenly kick high. It didn't work. So later on Master Cha decides to punch less and do more low kicks, then switch high and knock him out.

    • @turtlepowersf
      @turtlepowersf Před 5 lety +19

      well....it's the #1, most fundamental strategy for every thai fighter. Thais learn how to defend the legs from very early on, much better than westerners. It's almost a sure win against most western fighters...beating up the legs to set up the high kick

If that muay thai fighter was sober & fought in a bigger ring he would have ended it alot sooner.. That little baby ring fits perfectly for any boxer

      Yup. Im sure fatigue had a hand in the loss, but look at his punches. There is nothing behind them. Its really hard to throw a good punch when your stance is affected. The legs generate more force than some will realize. Also if this was a real street fight the Muay Thai fighter should have been allowed to use all 8 points of attack. Looks like they took the clinch game away which would have ended it faster.

    The best fight I ever see.. now i love muay Thai style. No lockbox, no box, nothing else, just searching for muay Thai club's fighting

    This is not an actual Muy Thai fight with a street brawler. The MT fighter never threw elbows or knees. He could have destroyed the street brawler in the clinches.

    That's not a street fighter. He clinches , ducks , and throw a lot of punching combos. He's a boxer.

      He moves like a street fighter, looks street fighter. He is a street fighter. Like the guy said in the video he used to much effort to create a punch.
