Mohammed Rafi, a true gentelman and a great singer, who brought her to the studio without scolding her, and sang the duet so beautifully with her. Even after Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam, where she proved how well she could sing when she was an alcoholic, in Anubhav (1972) she sang three beautiful songs. She was practically on her deathbed then. She might not be treated as a Legend in Hindi film industry, no recognition, no respect from Hindi film industry but in music lovers' eye she was, is and will remain a legend forever especially in Bengal. Every songs of her for Mahanayika Suchitra Sen is still now top hits in the public. My favorites are 'Ei Sundar Swarnali Sandhyay', 'Ei Mayabi Tithi', 'Tumi Je Amar', 'Nishi Raat Banka Chand Aakashe', 'Jhanak Jhanak Kanak Kankan Baaje', ' Nir chhoto kshati nei ' and in hindi I like 'Meri jaan, mujhe jana kaho', 'jane kaha mera jigar gaya ji' the most.
