  • Brazzaville is the capital and largest city of the Republic of the Congo, a country in the western part of Central Africa - ranked as the 63rd largest African country. Brazzaville was founded on September 10, 1880.
    The city is said to have been on the site of Nkuna, a Bateke village and was named after its part-African founder, explorer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza. Brazzaville is a great cultural crossroads where artistic activity and intellectual activity thrive.
    The city witnessed the beginning of Congolese rumba, a musical rhythm and theme initiated by Paul Kamba of the ‘bantous de la capitale’ Orchestra.
    In this video, you will discover amazing facts about this 142 year old city.

    Je suis un Noir américain et j’adorerais visiter cet endroit un jour. J’ai rencontré des gens de Brazzaville ici en Louisiane qui était aussi une colonie Français à un moment donné et c’étaient des gens si gentils.

    Is the Hotel Sofitel and the Hotel Cosmos still along the Congo River? I have many good memories of my time in Rep of Congo. Ngok beer and the Keebe Keebe Club at Sofitel were part of that. Id love to come back some day.

    I liked your description about the Republic of Congo 🇨🇬 but you have to know that Brazzaville wasn't founded by Pierre Savorgnan De Brazza in October 3, 1880. Because the city was already established by the local people, the Teke tribe, and it was called Mfoa before the coming of the colonization.

    Why is French the official language, Africa must get rid of this colonial past.

    • @AfricaRevealed
      @AfricaRevealed  Před rokem +3

      Well, English is still an official language in many countries around the world. This is not going to change. Besides the fact that it is the heritage of colonisation, the world has become a global village
