as a bears fan i couldn’t be happier with how the season has turned out. yes, we’re not gonna make the playoffs but we started 0-4 and unsure of our QB situation. but now, we all know that we got our guy.

Fields is an elite QB. You can see it in the film and it’s obvious. More similar to Josh Allen than Lamar Jackson

So proud of this kid, the adversity he’s gone through in his young career is unreal. He is by far the most unfairly hated QB in the NFL today. It used to be Dak, but for the past 2 years, it’s been him. Drafted onto one of the worst teams in football, and falling in the draft past 2 QBs he was clearly better than in every way. He has quietly improved every aspect of his game every single season, and it shows up in the stats. He still has a ways to go, but he is steadily getting there.

Mahomes, Purdy, Hurts, Dak was all drafted onto good teams. Fields had to learn the to play the position while being on bad team. His best days are definitely ahead

Ive always believed in this guy and supported him from day 1. Im so happy for this young man, continue to give this man support!
Please stop acting like justin isn't an elite passer. He proved it at Ohio state when he actually had a line that could give him a clean pocket. He has a chance to be one of the very best with how good he can throw the ball and his legs. Not to mention hes a special leader. All of us in Columbus new, hes the truth.

Might have been one of the most complete games I've seen fields have. He's had more impressive with his legs alone, but he was making all kinds of passes with consistency, extending drives, really looking calm and finding those open receivers on the check down. If him and flus have really bought into each other, I have to see what maybe drafting a few more key guys and letting JF1 cook in 24 looks like. Kind of exciting

2:34 this play really tells what most of career has been like, it’s hard to be consistent when you constantly get free rushers coming at you. He’s not a perfect player but it seems like most of the inconsistency comes from the line not being good. The line has definitely improved but please get this man a competent OC and oline and then he will blossom into something special

You can say Fields has flaws and argue all day if he’s good enough but one thing you can’t deny is he gives you a chance. No matter what team we play it just seems like when he’s on the Field we always have a fighting chance. That’s all you can ask for, a QB who gives you a chance to win every week

Fields has shown a lot of talent and huge upside. He is an amazing athlete, better than any QB except Lamar, and he might be more accurate, with solid arm strength.
The problem is that he has shown a serious inability to diagnose defenses, make multiple reads, understand route concepts, get the ball out on them, and audible hot routes on blitzes. So even though he makes a couple incredible throws and breaks a ton of tackles every game, we stall out a LOT. Every game that Fields has won this year, our defense has held the other team to 20 points or less, and has forced an average of 3 turnovers each game.
Almost all of his touchdown drives in the last few weeks have come on short fields after turnovers. Even in the last 6 weeks where he has played a lot better, he’s only averaging 202 passing yards per game which is less than Russell Wilson, Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, and Garner Minshew in the same span.
He’s proved to be an NFL starter, but in the same low-end category as the guys that switched teams this offseason. With a prospect like Williams available, I’d say we roll the dice and see if we can get a true difference maker at QB for the first time in the TV era lol

If I were the Bears, I would go after Ben Cleveland. He’s been an underutilized guard sitting on the Ravens bench. He’s massive and injury free. Could be a free agency steal. In addition, draft more interior talent as well.

Especially after yesterday and will have conversations with Rich McKay about this.
