I finally found a video that gives the most sense to this new drone. The other reviewers just talked about how cool it is without showing how to do things like zoom 7x camera active track orbit mode. That was something I need so thanks for showing this. Very useful video.

Just a comment on the picture quality, the 3x and 7x cameras look nowhere near as sharp as the 1x, it is so obvious like night and day difference even in good light when comparing them and I'm not just talking about from your video. I've compared other creators content who have used this drone so as far as an upgrade I think I skip this one. Great video by the way.

I wish they added D-Log to the 166mm. I use that one slightly more than I do with the 24mm to my M3. I hope this could be added as a firmware update.

Are they going to offer a drone only option? Would like to pick one up to pair with my DJI RC but I don't see the option for drone only on their site.
Why do they called it optical zoom when the 3x and 7x are fix zoom? I love to seen them make a real optical zoom where you can zoom in and out without lost of quality.
Nicely done Jeven. Wish we could get beyond fixed aperture on the 3x and 7x but this is still a nice upgrade to the Mavic 3 Cine. How does it handle wind over 15mph? Same as the Mav 3 Cine?
Handles wind just fine. I haven’t tested high wind but it’s the same body as the mavic 3
Do you know if there would there be an option with DJI to trade in the original Mavic 3 for the new tri-camera version or would you just have to buy a new one?
You might be able to get partial money/credit from dji as a used unit, then put that money towards mavic 3 pro :)

I see a notable degradation in sharpness and pop from the 4/3 sensor to the 3x. Thoughts? Also, I thought both cameras had the hasselblad color??
Lastly, can you optically zoom from the 4/3 sensor to the 1 1/3 sensor on the scroll wheel on the remote?

Can you please clarify something you mentioned: "The big thing with this drone is that now, no matter which camera you use, ALL of the recording options, all of the your settings are going to match up!" In another video I heard the opposite, namely, that once you set your options on one camera, they do NOT match on the other when you switch to any of them. Thanks!

Does it fix some of the hidden missing functionalities of Mavic 3?
1. ProRes doesn’t work in any of the intelligent mode in Mavic 3. Did that change with this Mavic 3 Pro?
2. The quality of video is still not as good with the smaller sensors. Did that improve with these 2 additional lenses and sensors?

Do you think this is the last and greatest version of the Mavic 3 before the Mavic 4 series. If so, it makes sense to buy this one to use with your RC Pro. As I assume a Mavic 4 would use 04 transmission and render my RC Pro useless. Thoughts?

DJI's website showed the (original) Mavic 3 standard version out of stock this afternoon. Is this the start of the end for this version?
Nice video, I still got the first Mavic Mini, Very expensive to follow the trend and development but it is not the equipment that matters, but the ability to create with what you got. I settled on that saying long time ago and do my best instead of always not feeling up to par because of all the merch that is the latest and best every time something new is released.
I took delivery of the new DJI Mavic 3 Pro with DJI RC today. Upgraded all firmware as instructed via the setup.
I noticed during setup inside my office that the connection kept dropping and the red light on the DJI RC appearing.
I suspected that this was possiby because i was indoors - i completed setup and took the drone outside.
The maiden flight was a nightmare - lost connection 3 times while flying no further than 1km.
Please can anytime advise or make suggestions to what i should do next?
Could this be a faulty unit or are there alternative options i could try to improve connection stability?

Can you preset the cameras into a sequence? say you were cycling, could you have active track active but also programme the control to track say 10 s n each camera? are a random auto switch? or can you have al three cameras go at once? the edit options afterwords with all three cameras would be neat

I think the 3x is worth it.
While this is a great drone, No way is an incremental increase in 3x compression and a loss of significant flight time worth 2 thousand + dollars more spent if you already have an M3. It's actually a little disappointing that this "pro" model doesn't come with added improvments beyound just this offering. Just wait for a more full throated MP4. If you have none of the Mavic series drones then yes it'd be worth purchasing this version.
@@jamesshippIII I was going to sell my 3 to upgrade but like you said might just be better off waiting with the way DJI is going might see an MP4 next year which is not too far and the 3 already does a fantastic job. Some upgrades here are software related anyway more so than hardware so might get more improvement through a firmware update

I have the 3 classic and frankly I didn’t see anything that great of an upgrade. Yesb the zoom lens but big deal. The follow mode, same as 3. Etc. save money.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks to me like the focal lengths are fixed? That seems like a huge miss in my opinion. Part of what I like about my Mavic 2 zoom is the infinitely variable focal length between 1x and 2x to achieve smooth transitions during live shots. Having abrupt transitions between 1x-3x-7x with quality degrading digital zoom to fill in the gaps is a bit disappointing.
Dunno mini 2 or mini 3 pro is enough 🤔
