That is so cool! You really hear Duran sound. The bass and drums are so great already, while they were under 20 at the time. Andy Wicket's voice suits the 70s but for me its nice for a few minutes. I love that Simon's warm vocals joined Duran Duran 😍
It's fascinating hearing the demo versions of these songs and comparing them to their 'cleaned up' released versions. Girls on Film is very different to the main release. There are times I like the raw demos more.
It's interesting to hear these demos and pick out the hooks and sounds that were to become a signature part of Duran Duran's sound. I don't like Andy Wickett's vocals, though. Sounds like contender number 20 in a drunken Bryan Ferry soundalike contest.
Dear lord the vocal track on 'see me, repeat me' is awful ... should not have been kept as a final take ... singer is straining to make notes too high for his register and seems lost to find the right key in a song that has a chorus filled with overly complex key changes. They boxed themselves into a corner with that one ... something a Producer would have never allowed.

You're officially hired to make sure every band that is signed in any universe has the right members before anything is recorded or released.
