Very Hard with only Green Weapons Part 1 - Horizon Forbidden West

- This is a Horizon Forbidden West challenge run. In this run I try to beat the game using only Green Weapons, Outfits, Traps, Coils and Weaves on the hardest difficulty called Very Hard. This is Part 1 of 2 as it was done over 2 days.

FYI, you can always fast travel for free to the Base, and then you are close to a fire and can fast travel for free to another fire.

Aha! I was really hoping you'd upload these, when I saw you'd done the run on Twitter I spent a while trying to watch back on Twitch VODS but Twitch is a real nightmare on my computer. I'm so happy you chose to upload them here!
I will always upload important runs like this here. Just took a while for CZcams to process it and yeah twitch vods are not great.
Inspired by this I decided to do my own challenge run on Normal- Green Gear and No Skill Points. By my rules, most things that don't damage enemies don't matter; meaning Rocks, Mount Call and Smoke Bombs can be used (much like you I allowed overriding a mount even though you can't use the Blue Spear so long as it's just to run around faster) - but Weapons, Traps, Potions, Armour, Food, Coils and Weaves must all be Green. By my ruling though it's what you are using that matters- so if you want to buy a Blue Outfit to upgrade it so you can pluck the Weave out of it to then use yourself, that is fine, so long as the Weave is Green and you obviously never equip the Blue outfit. I originally saw Smoke Bombs as white and unusable but by that logic it meant I couldn't use Travel Packs or throw Rocks and that felt silly, those things don't do damage anyway. The start of the game is chaotic with no Silent Strikes, but I can already see the curve of difficulty is gonna get higher and I'm looking forward to it. It's fun to look at using Food to boost certain skills in situations because without Skill Points there's a lot of stuff that's never being upgraded.
Also, if you do all of Larend's salvage quests he gives you a Green Impact Spike Thrower which goes great with the Frost Blast Sling. So you'd have Boomer's Explosive one and then Larend's Impact one.

How are you doing the trick we’re you collect stuff without bowing is it just sprinting or what?
Its an option you can change in the settings.
