  • Here are Liverpool's greatest export, and I include the Beatles!
These guys seen me through my teens, and delivered some awesome tunes.
Here they are live and at the top of their game, just before releasing their second (and best) album 'The Small Price of a Bicycle'.
This is the opening track from that album and a classic, other bands can only dream!

Their greatest success was that they never flew above the radar.

Such an underrated band, they should have been huge. I remember buy the video of this.

Ah they all look so young ...... My past strung out behind me, contradiction and disaster, I'm in search of charity, a union I can master .....

Really needs to get rid of the head mic, never understood why static singers on stage used these. Brilliant song.

You wouldn't be alone in that opinion mate, my cousin says the same. I've just always preferred the second one to the first. Thanks for the comments :-)

Yeah, their first album was the best,it was more consistent than the others, which had an array of styles which at times confused, good music, but too many styles. This really sounded like it should have been on the first album

Absolutely my friend,it really was more in keeping on what was going on in the Liverpool post punk scene at the time with The Mighty Wah !,Echo & The Bunnymen,Teardrop Explodes etc,but although the following albums were great, the styles just lost me at times, very similar to what happened with The Glitter Band's last two albums in the 70's,good music - too many styles.
