It's not hard. I use the same on my cat. We first trained only with the mouth piece and treats to get her used to something being on her face. If that works, add the spacer to it and get her used to that. If that also works, add the inhaler and puff. Took about two days.
No questions, just a TON of respect for the obvious time and effort you've put into not just caring for this kitty, but teaching him to be so calm and accepting of the inhaler. Cats hate having their faces messed with, so his coming to you so willingly and staying so calmly must have taken great love and care ❤️A+ cat care.
Getting a cat comfortable before you do something to cat that they may not like is a normal tactic Even a cat who loves and trusts a human can get freaked out if ur putting something on their face. Cats are very sensitive creatures and need lots of patience, even for something like daily inhaler usage
This is brilliant. With time, patience + gentle kindness…animals soon learn that these routines are helping them stay well. And this was a perfect example to witness, thank you for sharing.🐈💕
As a lifelong asthmatic, I appreciate how loving you are to your kitty! He's been very well trained. He understands how much you are helping him breathe better. God bless!
Just a genuine question, isn't everyone with asthma a lifelong asthmatic? everyone who I have known with asthma (including myself) has had asthma for their whole life. I understand if maybe you can get it later in life, but I didn't know that was a thing.
I love seeing you put his comfort first in this process. A lot of times special treatment can be stressful for animals and it's so obvious how much trust and love there is between you and your sweet kitty ❤️❤️
I had a cat that had asthma too. she was so good about her inhaler and knew i was trying to help. I unfortunately lost her almost a year ago and seeing this brought back a lot of emotion. Miss you Shadow 🖤
Awe, that reminds me of when my son was young and I had to give him his inhaler. It was so small and there was a lot of looking, touching and thinking about the aerochamber before he would let it touch his face lol.
AMAZING! It just shows that it's the air and sh1te the governments been pumping out that cause asthma around the world! Even animals getting it now! I'm only one in my family who got asthma born in mid 70s parents don't have it younger brother don't have it! Mother was exposed to secret government testing on London underground as I found out myself few years ago where they "Released 'harmless pathogens' off the top of underground trains without anyone knowing! To see how chemical warfare would travel around the underground network in cold war in late 60s early 70s! (I'm also the only one allergic to Cats and Dogs!) What with the Chemtrails and aluminium and Boron and other metals they've been releasing since the 70s more and more Destroying our lungs in readiness for the Pl@ndemics it's no wonder!! God damn those EVIL SOCIOPATHS WEF PUPPET world leaders! 🤬🏴🇬🇧
I think the cat eventually learned that the inhaler makes him feel better, and so, likes it. its something every animal does, even humans. kind of like how a scared dog eventually learns to trust its owner. or how primitive human's learned what berries were edible and were not.
💥I find it interesting that most people care for animals (somewhat instinctively). Some people even have complete knowledge of animals’ needs - zoologists and veterinarians are great examples. Man, this is proof that God exists.❤️😌 God gave each of us the authority to “rule over”/take care of His creations…

@@moppupaws It’s not that It’s hard, It’s more that It’s rare, because most people would just force the cat to be still and do that instead of taking time out of their day to do what this guy does.
@@moppupaws oh ok
It's not hard. I use the same on my cat. We first trained only with the mouth piece and treats to get her used to something being on her face. If that works, add the spacer to it and get her used to that. If that also works, add the inhaler and puff. Took about two days.
@@guisantos2934 hi
When I imagined “growing up” as a kid I didn’t know that would mean learning how a cat uses an inhaler at 3 am.

My kitty has asthma too, I’m so glad to see someone else talking about their asthmatic baby and their experiences

No questions, just a TON of respect for the obvious time and effort you've put into not just caring for this kitty, but teaching him to be so calm and accepting of the inhaler. "Getting him comfortable"... like we needed an excuse not to pet the kitty 😍
,??
Getting a cat comfortable before you do something to cat that they may not like is a normal tactic Even a cat who loves and trusts a human can get freaked out if ur putting something on their face. Cats are very sensitive creatures and need lots of patience, even for something like daily inhaler usage
It's neccessary to do this kid.
Be quiet we must pet da kitty

Wow! Amazing how cooperative he is.
He’s so relaxed when you have a hold of his head. It shows he really trusts you.
He understands it helps him breath. God thats a smart cat
A good team/partnership
Most cats are incredibly intelligent. But one does need to take time to make them comfortable and develop trust, like this awesome cat dad has!
A cat with asthma seems like one of the world's most cruel jokes, so I'm grateful there are specialized inhalers for them.

(I'm also the only one allergic to Cats and Dogs!)

Pretty cool that you got him to be chill about the process, you turned it into quality time spent rather than a stressful activity
I think the cat eventually learned that the inhaler makes him feel better, and so, likes it. its something every animal does, even humans. kind of like how a scared dog eventually learns to trust its owner. or how primitive human's learned what berries were edible and were not.
Aww poor little guy, I’m glad he has a great caretaker who has it down to a science!

Thanks for this video, it clued me into the fact that my new cat had asthma and I knew to get her treatment.
You inspired us to get an inhaler for our cat...400 bucks for the thing, but it helped our cat live more comfortable. He passed a few months later, with many underlining problems, and a severe asthma attack that the inhaler couldn't keep in check. Thanks, we had more time with our cat because of you. RIP Kato

Ironically our dander is one of the biggest triggers for their asthma

Asthma isn't that bad, I've had it for around 5 years, I actually never use inhalers because it only allows for short term treatment, after the medication wears off, the symptoms are 10x worse.
@@danialrafid Well it depends on whether the person has severe or mild asthma
@@danialrafid I've been hospitalized multiple times due to asthma attacks. I rely on a nebulizer. My asthma is severe, yours was probably not if that's what you claim.
@@interstell_art829 Honestly, that seems like -a skill issue- a horrible condition. What's a nebulizer, though?
@@danialrafid I've had severe asthma all my life. I can't participate in sports or anything else active without having to be insanely prepared for an attack. A nebulizer is a device that turns the liquid Albuterol medicine into mist so it can be inhaled via a pump.
