If there's anybody that can get a fire going in the rain and with wet wood it is Abel! Thanks Abel for all the hard work you put into your videos. I get tired of watching other people in their camping adventures saying they were not going to have a camp fire because it was raining and the wood is wet. The fact is that they could have a fire but they are lazy and don't want to put out the effort. I enjoy watching your videos because I know you are not afraid of hard work 👍 🍻

Good to see you back for 2024 Abel. Really enjoyed coming along with you on this camp and looking forward to many more this year. I'm surprised that the makers of your tents and camping gadgets are not sponsoring you as your descriptions and demonstrations are such good advertising for them. On the downside would be that you may find it difficult to tell your viewers that a particular gadget does not live up to the hype. Having that small light table makes the camp setup a little more civilised.
I like the New Zealand accent and yours and Victoria's voices are very easy to listen to. The narratives in your videos I find interesting whether its about the gear you use, the changes to the weather, as the camp progresses, the NZ fauna and even when you guys are cooking or are answering the questions put to you by members and viewers.
Love the work you do in taking the videos, editing them and posting them online for the entertainment and enjoyment by all of us. It may sound silly but even on your solo camps you are not alone. We are all there with you even if it is after the event. So a huge thank you. See you on your next camp.

I live in NZ, so will be especially amused 😂 And as for channel ideas, I would love a few product comparison/ detail videos to supplement the brilliant campfire ones. I bought a Nemo Hornet Osmo Elite 2p based on your brilliant 1p review, now just bought a SMD Lunar Solo, and would love more on your Zpacks tent. But in the end, I'll be happy with whatever you put together, loving the channel buddy 👍

Hi Abel( Victoria) I recently found a video of you guys by chance. And love them! I am from Norway and ( nice) weather is kind of a little difficult to get here. Anyhow I enjoy weather!!! Love rain ☔️. Wind. Not that happy with the snow. But why I love you Videos is your solution to keep warm and comfortable in wet cold weather. Have lots of fun of snacks and nice food. That makes the outings fun and enjoyable. Small tips that I have learned. Like how important the tarps is. Not necessarily to build something. Fire startes. Good warm underlay in the tent. Multiple ways of getting your food cooked. Multiple sorts of foods and so on🎉thank you 😀
Cracking video and nice atmospheric weather rain sounded great . The camp spot looked quite sheltered - what about a night in a bivouac with a tarp over you for a change

I know you love burgers but a very popular combo here is to add mayo to the ketchup, yes mayo! I thought it sound gross at first but its almost a new burger that way! Great video keep them up
Great camp Abel you’re right I learn a lot from you but you always surprise us with a new gadget or a new species of animal! 👌🏾 Not that we like you feeling sad but as a Avid Weather Watcher as well there is nothing like camping expecting rain and it doesn’t show or takes it time! I hate when the weather isn’t Punctual!! 😛 definitely close the mozzy net on your tent if you don’t want to close it fully! Charge Pack is a lifesaver! Love the light and the party mode! 😂
If it doesn’t get cold in the summer no need for Nightware lol maybe Long Johns for the winter!
The kebabs looked great, brush some marinade and rurn them regularly while they cook for extra juiciness! Great Vid 🇬🇧🫶🏽

Couldn't agree more, just got into backpacking though so still lots to learn! Just did a 3 day trip in the great smokey mountains 2nd week on Jan, a 12 mile hike out got wild when weather came in 18 hours early haha

Most of the wood in the US is hardwood, oak, pine, sycamore, maple, and more. We have very cold weather and heavy snow.

Love your videos, mate! Hey, try cooking the hamburgers in the grease left from cooking a few strips of bacon, and on those hamburger buns, try putting some mustard on there, too!

Tents that pitch fly first or all in one are best I think. Hilleberg niak all round best tent unless mega snow storms or high winds smashing it. It’s funny to use all tents though. I like my z packs and nemo kauni also. Use the big Agnes often also

I was disappointed to start with as you weren't suffering enough...it looked so nice and comfortable and the table is a very good idea. Funnily enough, you thought the same thing and then the rain came down so redemption happened even if it wasn't particularly violent. It is a perfect campsite. I'd still love to see you trying a liquid fuel stove like the Optimus Nova...I use them...just because...for you I think you will enjoy the drama and the flames during priming, the perverseness of this might appeal to you. You are king of the Burger...nice.

Next time you can make those kebabs on one of the stones that you use for covering the fire. With this way you don't eat burned kebab 🤙🤙

When you’re without Victoria, you need a pet. Since AB Camping brings a dog, you’ll want to take something different. How about a pet gerbil? Gerbils are cute. Don’t eat much. And they make great ear muffs when it gets chilly. So, I guess you’ll need to bring 2!😊

In my very limited experience of camping I always shut the door after an earwig infestation then the second time lots of creepy crawlies.
Super camp, gonna have to get some burgers. Although a home cooked lasagne at the weekend first up😉
