Not only that, but what do you have to offer where you have agency or leverage to pick from options of women? I took a break from the dating scene 4 years ago when I was 27.. I never thought I’d be happy as a single man.. I’m not gonna lie the first year was rough but every year after that just kept getting better! On top of that my health and daily productivity has improved significantly! I have also changed my attitude for the better. No more letting people walk all over me.. that alone helped in so many parts of my life.. I’m not saying stay single for ever but don’t be afraid to take a break and reset.
I work in hospitality, some of the clients are often rather wealthy. The most heart warming thing I see from a loving couples is them both having their cards out and racing to be the first to pay for whatever it is. Neither of them care who makes the most money or who invited who or whatever it may be, they just want to do it for the other person because they genuinely care about each other. Its by far the sweetest thing I see to see them compete and have a play argument over who gets to pay. I thought exclusively that you know that this was a rich people thing until a girl did it to me when we were on a date (now we do it all the time) and that was the big wakeup call to me that not only was she interested but that she was a good one too and that I was blessed to have her

Going on a first date with someone is about getting to know them better. It doesn't make sense to spend an unreasonable amount of money on someone you barely know. Social media has given people a false sense of reality. No level-headed man should pay that much to take someone on a first date, and no reasonable woman should even expect that.
If i were going on a special date with someone that i felt a strong connection to, i would probably go all out & buy a new outfit, get my nails done, etc. So i can KINDOF understand what shes saying.
