- McGill University Campus Tour Part 2 • Visiting McGill Univer...
This is video is features a McGill University campus tour! McGill is a university located in Montreal, Quebec (in Canada) - and it's where I did my undergraduate studies (BSc, Class of 2020)! I know it's university/college admissions season - a time when many want to see McGill University in person (but probably can't), so I hope this video is helpful and encourages you to apply. Some of you might also be McGillians without having been to campus yet, so hopefully this makes you all excited to see this campus in person soon! Watch until the end to tour all the places at McGill today. :)
If you have any questions regarding McGill admissions or the McGill student life, let me know in the comment section below. I'd love to help!

happy holidays 🎄🎆
HAPPY HOLIDAYS NADYA! How are you celebrating the festive season?
Thank you for your kind explanation and tour. I really enjoyed it. ^^
I studied engineering in the US for undergrad but heard so much about McGill overtime. Cool to actually see what the campus is like!
Hey!! That's so cool :D How was engineering?
@@monicology I had a really good experience! Although learning more made me realize how little I actually know (and will ever know) 😂
Im a US student who wants to apply here for my undergraduate and this is really cool! Thank you! 😁
Can’t wait to be here one day soon !
See you there!
Hi!! I love this video! I have been so eager to find out how McGill is and looks! All the centers and buildings are amazing!!!! I am looking forward to going there ;). Anyway, have a great day, stay safe, and positive!! 💜
Ava!! I'll be posting more videos now that I finished exams! Anything you'd like to see? More Oxford or more McGill? :D 💜💜💜 I love how positive you are - it makes my day! -Monica
@@monicology 💜💜💜 Yay!!!! Hope you did well on your exams!! I would love both but I think I'll more McGill would be awesome!! I'm so happy that I made your day, you always do too with your videos!
I've been considering it! I applied, but I have no idea what to expect in terms of financial aid. As a student coming from the US i dont expect much, but in a low-income home many places give *something*. Even without aid, it's one of the cheapest schools. I know a bit of french (6 years in school) so that's not a big barrier
I hope you come to McGill! It's such a lovely place to be. I miss it a lot. Was the video helpful for you?
Very nice campus! like your buildings
Thanks this helped me so much Im going to McGill this year and IM SO EXCITED #plentyofconsent
Can u assist me also. Please
this is very cool! im from montreal orginally :)
Omg that's so cool! What's your favourite thing to do in Mtl?
Hey thanks for your information. Can you please tell me about the monthly stipend given to students holding scholarships.and one more question is that Are students allowed to do part time job?
This week's video is a bit different because it features McGill!! AMA about McGill University!!! :D
Weird question, but does McGill have hospitals in the US? For some reason this building looks familiar but I've never been to Canada. I know some schools have hospitals like Columbia.
@@robot.boy_ Oh I don't think so? I know MUHC is all in Montreal. Maybe they do though? (in that case that's super cool!)
@@robot.boy_ maybe the same architect designed it. I remember once I saw a building on Supernatural that looked so much like my university's health center that I had to Google it. Turns out the building is somewhere in Canada and I'm in the U.S. so it wasn't it. Other shows did film on my campus though.
This could be super helpful for folks who want a tour but can't get it cause of Covid-19. Also, did you get to pick someone for the giveaway?
Just finished my exams! I'll put everyone's name in a draw and pick tonight. I will update the description box by the end of the day so please check back soon!
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure! Have a lovely day. :)
well today I had a zoom meeting with one of the professors. hopefully I will be there by next year
Hope to see you here! Good luck. :)
I am coming for my master's degree in computer science in fall 2023 but I need to stay for a week or 10 days in McGill University campus as my course and rental starts from September 1,2023. Could you please suggest some reasonable rooms with food facility where I can stay and feel comfortable as i am new n have a lot to explore.
Thanks for this informative video! I’m an international student planning to apply for the fall 2021 semester at McGill for my first year in university. Do you think life in general would be easy in Montreal and especially McGill for me given I don’t know one word of French?
Hi! Thanks for watching it. It is okay to not know French at McGill as McGill is an English-speaking university, but your opportunities for work/research would be limited, especially outside of the "McGill bubble". If you are planning to stay in Montreal after, it's best to learn French to maximize your opportunities. Does that help? :)
Also, happy new year!
@@monicology thanks! And happy new year
Hi
@KingK I got accepted to McGill but decided to study at Another university. I chose Carleton university instead because it’s very powerful in my specific program, which is political science, and since it’s in Ottawa, a majority English speaking city and the capital, it has tons more work opportunities for my field as opposed to Montreal. I am planning however to maybe apply to McGill law school after I graduate, if I decide to go to law school that is. I am studying online however and did not actually visit Ottawa yet. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have!
@KingK If you know French well enough and you’re looking at either politics or biology then McGill would be perfect. It’s a very prestigious university as you know. I certainly hope that you get all the financial aid you need and attend wherever you wish! Best of luck to you too! :D
Me gustaría saber como es la facultad de arquitectura y la de derecho.
Aren't there any law students' block??
Thanks for the great video, I’ve watched a few tours and it looks like McGill is constantly under construction…
Hahahaha yeah it's usually under construction. Would you like to see more McGill videos?
@@monicology definitely would!
@@dracowine2480 Stay tuned :D
The video is relaxing
Thanks! Please consider to subscribe for the next McGill video!
@@monicology done.
@@alwaleedsaud6114 Thanks! I'll get the video out by the end of the month! More McGill to come...
@@alwaleedsaud6114 Thank you! Next McGill video coming next week :)
You did not show the law department.
Couldn’t see the Desautels Faculty of Management's building.
I can do another updated tour! Wait for 2 weeks! :)
Hey I am an post grad in nutrition would like to know if I wanna pursue nutrition in Canada, do I need to study again from undergrad
I don't think so! Check out this - www.mcgill.ca/nutrition/programs/graduate. Does it help? :)
@@monicology thank you

If you're international you may need to... consult the course page for information
Ooooo!!!

@@monicologyhello,please I am applying for the 2024,can you please share your experience with me
I was looking for the CS building. Very disappointment!
Sorry, next video update maybe? ;D
So Concordia is basically poor man's McGill? XD
Lol why do you think this? :p
My alma mater (1987-1991)...
How do you feel about your time at McGill?
How long is a typical PhD programme at McGill?
Hey Adam!! I think it's 4 - 6 years :) Haha are you thinking of it? (Would totally recommend McGill!)
@@monicology Thank you! Just nice to hear about the potential institutions. I am currently applying for a Master's (Nanomaterials based in Denmark) and I hope to continue the research-field with a PhD. McGill seems to have a well established materials facility and a similar research project to mine. I aprpeciate their focus on sustainable applications. Who knows :)
