    This is the best overview I've seen.
    Most videos I find are 20+ minutes and are more or less "how to make your brush bigger or smaller :)" and then jumping to "I just did a 15 step piece where I don't explain how I got here"

    I'm a comics artist and use Vector Layers for all my inking. You can't Fill on a Vector Layer, but Reference Layers and "Area Scaling" help ease the minor inconvenience. ("Fill up to Vector Path" also helps immensely, especially when coloring.) Great video, Maddie! I'm sub'ing.

    It also has a tooon of time-saving things for comic artists, since it was originally designed for them. The thing where you moved the vector lines by painting over them, was perfection

    Symmetry ruler is great for doing front views for character turnarounds, making patterns etc. The perspective rulers are also really useful, but can be a bit complicated to set up the first couple of times.

    Ive been using photoshop since elements back in the late 90's/early 2ks. But with the pandemic I was forced to find a less expensive program and after playing with a friends copy of csp, i fell in love with it.

    Excellent run through some of the features, learnt a load of things, thanks for sharing. Gradient tool is always a favourite and the time-lapse feature which is super useful for tutorials etc

    CSP is a Beast! Every time I watch another vid, I discover something else! I didn't even KNOW about the erase on multiple layers thing! My faves are the timelapse feature and the animation tools. Plus the brushes are amazing!

    Nothing bothers some artists in regards to fill tools more than when they still see other artists make art without filling in the white infilled areas like corners and the edges you mentioned

    One of my favourite tools in CSP, is the correction layer gradient. Its sooo much fun playing around with te gradients and I often find it a good way to change the colour of something in my piece.

      It does the same for me. It's not perfect and it's not meant as the final coloring.

    thank you for the video!! i am pleased to have learned something new. i always appreciate more intermediate to advanced feature videos because there are honestly too many beginner tutorials. i always feel talked down to in most ""intermediate to advanced"" videos that just talk about clipping masks and other basic features. i already have an understanding of the program which is why i clicked an 'advanced' tutorial. this video is refreshing!!!

    I have had clip studio for years and already knew all of these tips, but I still watched the video because I always enjoy seeing more artists ditch the darkness that is PS and come into the shining glory of CSP. The program has never let me down and I doubt it ever will.

    I just recently made the switch from Photoshop into clip studio without even looking back once!! Your tip about the 3d model for posing left my jaw on the floor. I don't know why I didn't switch sooner!! My workflow has been cut down easily by half! No joke! Love this program!!!!

    As someone moving from pencil and paper drawing onto CSP, I've had to kind of had to learn as I go. I've been looking through a lot of YT tutorials on the program with not a lot of success (most videos seem to assume you already know the ins and outs of the application) but I found that just your video has pointed out a lot of essential bits very simply and clearly! It has helped a lot of getting some small degree of control for the program and I do very much appreciate the help the video has given (even though it was not intended as such!)

    One CSP brush I’m pretty fond of is Real Wooden Pencil. As the name implies, it actually comes pretty close to the feel of sketching with a genuine pencil, especially if you’re like me and like to roll the side a bit for gradients.

    god, i was JUST looking up on csp ask on how to get rid of the little white jagged lines when you use the fill tool. No one gave me a straight answer, thank you. this makes my life so much easier.
    I draw rather messily and i ALSO use a textured brush, same as you, so it was great to see that i dont have to painfully struggle to do flats. (because i am lazy).

    I've been using CSP basically ever since I started digital art around 5 years ago. At one time I wasn't able to use CSP and went to search for another drawing software. I never realised how useful CSP was until I had to switch programs. CSP has some insane features and it just keeps getting better.

    yooo I’ve been drawing my entire life but I only started doing digital art like six months ago and let me tell you it’s been a JOURNEY. I got the basics now but I was so overwhelmed at first and I don’t really have the patience to sit down and watch a whole instructional video, so this was PERFECT for me because you showed some neat (and seriously useful) features and i didn’t lose focus or get distracted. some of these tools are gonna CHANGE MY LIFE. lol. thanks for the great video!!

    I love that you can use the sub tool to show another piece of art you are working on, like a comic, so you can use it for making sure the colors are correct.
