+Sergio Townsend if you ask me, considering that time flies by fast and it really doesn't take long for things to change a whole lot, nostalgia can be felt in almost any amount of time (the earliest would be about a year from my experience) especially if you feel nostalgia for a really nice time and what's going on right now just doesn't quite compare.

2:07 - 2:27 Considering Sakurai took time out of the Nintendo Developer Direct to mention how Samus has been changed visual-wise, I really hope she receives a change in attacks similar to Bowser. What I mean by this, is that Samus is very quick and agile in the Metroid games, yet she has felt slow and clunky in Smash Bros when you compare her in Smash, to the main Metroid games. Give her an actual fast fall that at least doubles her fall speed, since she was very vulnerable in the air on stages like Final Destination. Improve her grapple, it is nearly useless aside from her Z-Air, which I hope remains the same from Brawl. Give her bombs the ability to damage an enemy upon physical contact as opposed to timers like in Brawl, that greatly diminished their usefulness. Allow Samus to crawl by quickly turning into and out of the Morph Ball, she does this in the 2D games. Her up smash has been very unreliable since the first few attacks push the enemy away, knocking them out of range of the attack, leaving Samus vulnerable. Not to mention, only the fourth of the four hits actually launches enemies. Giving Samus' up smash a vacuum effect like Ganondorf's down smash, where if you get hit by one of the hits, you're going to be stuck in the attack until the end. Maybe make this attack escapable like Pikachu's down smash if you know what to do. The only other useful change I can think of, is allow Samus to charge her charge beam in the air like Donkey Kong or Mewtwo/Lucario could. One last thing, don't force players who want to play as Power Suit(PS) Samus to switch to Zero Suit(ZS) Samus when PS Samus players use their Final Smash. Giving ZS Samus a better Final Smash would be nice too(if she's in the game that is). If Samus was going to be changed, other than moving faster overall, these are the changes I think are necessary, since Samus is so nimble in Other M, the version their going for(hopefully the personality doesn't carry over too, but that's just me). If anyone can think of any other useful moveset changes or just constructive feedback(I feel like I'm asking a bit too much with that last one knowing CZcams), feel free to answer back. Samus is my favorite Nintendo character and favorite video game character period. In Brawl no one could take her seriously in her Power Suit with all the nerfs from Melee, which is a load of crap. Samus is nearly defenseless outside of her suit, she admits this herself in Zero Mission along with her useless emergency pistol. I want my favorite character to make a glorious comeback in Smash 4, especially considering how unsure Other M left the franchise, anything at this point is a godsend. Keep up the good work Sakurai, I know you won't let us down!!!

1:23 , 3:18 , There's two differences from Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and 5:27 , from Super Smash Bros. Melee.
It's a bit disappointing that the stages are going to be different on the different versions. I'm sure both will have great stages, but now this means I would have to get both to play on them all, and also because some of my favorite games are on consoles and so I won't get to paly on those stages if I only buy the 3DS one. :c

For the 3ds since everyone has their own screen, they should allow everyone the adjust the camera to their liking. Like P1 could want to have the camera a bit closer to his character, and P2 may want to have it as default. Anyone agree?

If you hear closely at the 4 player matches on the 3DS version at the beginning of the vid. (1:35-ish) you can here the music for battle field, spirit tracks, gurdo valley, and Mario 3D Land

Anyone watching this after Smash Ultimate already came out?
I think it's such a cool feature that the 3DS maps focus on handheld games and Wii U maps focus on home console games. It really adds to their differences, and makes the maps more interesting for the people who have only ever owned the handheld devices like me.

Coming from the year 2021 AD, Mii fighters are now already reality in this game and SSBU.
I came back to this video after playing the Wii U version for a bit, and I've noticed Mega Man's Leaf Shield move is slower and takes more time than the one shown here....well, the game _was_ in development after all.

will there be an interactive menu based on which character was most recently used to beat the game, like the main ship from galaxy, or the village from animal crossing, all of which are simple 2D redesigns of the menu, all the same but themed to were you can use the character to hop around and pick the menu options. My take on a special feature I would add for the WiiU version, even if it were a DLC like I foreshadow Mew-two might become under extreme circumstances. This sounds like something I would work on to SD hack if never implemented, but I wouldn't mind going out of my way to make the game more of what I'd want it to be.
Seeing Villager in Smash Bros. made me so happy! I will be surprised if any character can surprise me like that again.

If they were to add more to the rooster, id go with Simon Belmont, Pac-man, Bomberman, Gray Fox, or other chars from japan-exclusive series (Chosoju mecha mg i.e.) that havent seen the light out of japan as potential good options (such was the case for Fire Emblem). or maybe others that just arent so popular yet (Red the hunter, etc idk)
It will be great to see more gameplay of this game in motion for aprils smash direct!

I'm really excited to see Mega Man enter Smash; that was an incredibly good call. His Rush special and the multiple boss-abilities are great. The veteran fighters who I hope to see return would be:
Ness, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Yoshi (You have to have the originals,)
Falco (a two-game veteran and massive part of Star Fox should return imho.)
Diddy Kong (another fan favorite and a huge part of DK.)
Meta Knight (he was a great character in Brawl and I would love to see him back.)
Wario (Why hasn't he been confirmed yet?? He's another great fighter for the game.)
I'd also like to see Tails from Sonic, at least to some capacity.

well i think in this game some characters will be daisy because i know she is so strong other characters like mewtwo or pokemon trainer of hoenn region with pokemons like sceptile,blaziken and swampert and some of this like shadow or something like this

Look how far we've come. We only got to see Mario, DK, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Pit, Villager, Mega Man, and WFT at E3 2013. Now we have them as well as Olimar, Luigi, Peach, Toon Link, Sonic, Marth, Rosalina, Zelda, Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, ZSS, Sheik, Yoshi, Charizard, Greninja, Ike, Mii Fighters, Palutena, Pac-Man, C. Falcon, Lucina, and Robin.
This direct had me feeling some type of way last year.

Look at the gameplay compared to brawl and you will understand.

Instead of the Wii Fit trainer they should've had the little Wii fit pad instead, I think it could really fit in to SSB

apparently gamespot or gamestop leaked the release date. they said it was april 8, 2014 but i am not so sure if this is true. sakurai even said that he is at the point in development where he needs more polishing and finding the release date as soon as possible.
It would be nice to know soon.
