INGREDIENTS:
1 Cup fine grain cornmeal
3 Bay leaf
1/2 Cup white sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 Cup whole milk
1 tbsp vanilla
1 tbsp condensed milk
1/2 Cup coconut cream (optional)
5 Cups water
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder

I made this for my Jamaican BF for the first time this morning. OMG!!!, it was so delicious!!! I was worried about the salt & bay leaves but everything came together, better than expected. Unfortunately, I’ll be responsible for making it from here on out. 🤷🏽♀️😃😉

When making, was the two cups of water added into the cornmeal out of the five cups used for the whole recipe ? or do I still use a full 5 cups of water for to boil?

Since recently whenever i sweeten the porridge it gets very watery ,im wondering if its the lasco.idk
It’s probably that you need to add cornmeal or sweeten it after you finish making it.

I dont doubt it tastes good but it has a lot of sugar in it. I dont think it would be suitable for an everyday thing.
