Do not think this family is poor. Remember Sri Lanka is a British colony. They have expensive things behind this simple setting. Just look at those expensive potteries. They are not being used every day. They are collector's items.
The family is showing their old ways of preparing foods using organic ingredients in the tropical country.
Just enjoy her recipes and cooking. No negative remarks, although it can be viewed as a constructive criticism.

That dishes are all fantastic. Home made chicken sausages, cooked in two different, breadfruit curry, all so inviting. Who can resist such an appetising meal. As usual your cleanliness, in food preparation is so pleasing to watch. You are a wonderful cook. Another pleasing sight, was to see your children playing kites. Living in urban areas, we don't get to see children having fun in this manner. Of course they have playgrounds with playground slide, swings, seesaw, monkey bars etc,etc, but it nothing like playing in a wide open space, enjoying the evening sun rays and fresh breeze.
