Like people in the city you don’t have to stand in queues to fill gas cylinders for cooking. You don’t have to pay inflated high prices for chemically fertilized and grown food. You respect the land and the environment around you preserving nature’s bounty. You may or may not even give a helping hand by using decomposed fallen leaves kitchen waste or cow dung to fertilize fruit trees , vegetables snd grains to grow in your Sri Lankan village. Thereby you live off that county’s naturally fertile land where there are no harsh winters and luckily things grow year round. You may not even know that you are eating all fresh healthy, tasty, organic food prepared the old fashioned way at home. You are better off than your wealthy city dwellers living in air conditioned homes in concrete jungles who are now suffering due to power cuts snd fuel shortages.
I am a vegetarian- wont eat fish or eggs but the vegetarian dishes from this place is definitely very nutritious and healthy. the coconut cream that was left over after the oil was made is another thing I enjoyed as a child in my grandmothers house in her village. nobody makes it anymore. we used to love eating the crispier and slightly burnt part. not just delicious but this kind of coconut oil residue and coconut oil have healing properties.

You and your sister have cooked appetising, ash gourd curry and taro, potatoes, ash gourdand egg cutlets which looks so finger licking good. I had cold feet, when I saw you all walking on that one trunk small bridge. Can't you ask someone to make the bridge a bit wider. You or your children can get hurt if you or they slip and fall. You and your sister have cooked appetising, ash gourd curry and taro, potatoes, ash gourdand egg cutlets which looks so finger licking good. I had cold feet, when I saw you all walking on that one trunk small bridge. Can't you ask someone to make the bridge a bit wider. You or your children can get hurt if you or they slip and fall.
