tbh it's not exactly innocent, the lore has a lot of death and sacrifice in it, and that makes the game even better and more impactful in my opinion.
Yeah, the lore is like my favorite thing in the game.
.....And that I can make a giant kingdom, dress up like an elven wizard with my arctic wolf or homebrew D&D runedancer as my fox, and invite a ton of roleplayers into my den and see chaos happen when they see that the owner of the den is an adventurer and the story is that everyone who wants it is competing for the throne. ;)

It just hit me so weird I lost it.
As someone who plays Animal Jam regularly, this is absolute crap. You almost never see people doing this, and if you, most often other players will react negatively such as "That's inappropriate, stop before you get banned" or "There are kids playing this game, don't do that." Even so, it's not kids who are doing the adult things, so why blame the kids? Yes, there is a TON of people "dating" on AJ. Almost every day you'll see things like "Wolf girl looking for a wolf boy" or stuff like that. But Animal Jam itself is a very safe game. That parent was being WAY too overprotective.

Actually Wildworks was the one who created Animal Jam. They partnered with National Geographic and their partnership got extended to 2024 but for some reason they stopped being partners earlier.
