Just got one of these yesterday for an upcoming project. Got it all put together but have not used it yet, and I can promise you I’ll be using the cheapest pine I can find for the learning phase! I don’t have the pocket book for “learning oak! Very good video!
Thanks for the demo. I just bought this kit but haven't got around to using it yet. I'm relatively new to woodworking, so, no expert but I think this would work better if you took it in 2 or 3 passes. Hoggging it out in one go makes more difficult to control the router. I have been sourcing info on how to use this kit and I'm now leaning towards a small palm / trim router
Sorry for the late response. I didn't find it to be too difficult. Just some difficulty with certain letters based on their shape. I made 5 signs out of oak with this thing and I think they turned out pretty good.
Yes. Ns can be very tricky though. You have to switch sides halfway down, or you will mess them up. I find N to be the hardest of the letters that I have had to use so far.
There are different versions of this kit, so pay attention if you buy one. My particular kit came with 2 sets of big letters and 2 sets of little letters. I believe each set of letters will have two of a couple letters, but most are just one. You can also buy additional sets of letters to go with it.

Thanks for watching. Yeah I just cut up a pallet at work to use as practice boards. They worked very well.

Just bought this kit because needed smaller template letters. Useful tip about keeping router to one edge - will try that.

Thanks for the video! How do you like it so far??? Thinking about getting same set.
This is a cool kit and you can make some really nice signs with it.
Does it come with multiple letters...for words/names with 2 of the same letter?
