Bro, this road is 100% ilegal for bicycles. It's the VR1/ER101 in Madeira Portugal. Every entry has a blue sign with a car meaning it's reserved only for cars, trucks and motorbikes above 125cc

As an ex cat. 2 USCF rider I remember many years ago going 60+ MPH behind a greyhound bus. I had a custom built Columbus frame and of course full Campagnolo and Cinelli equipment. I was using Regina 21x13 and 42x52 chain wheels.faster than 60 mph at times on the LA Jolla grade!
I did it on a $350 Trek 820 mountain bike, at 17 years old. Craziest thing I’ve ever done.
I did it on my Green Machine when I was four.
I cycled there in February, awesome place, fantastic climbs. I drew the line at cycling down the freeway though! Lol

did something like this at 13 yrs old,1959. going down hill. The car was going at 20 mph & passed him at least 40 mph, went through a green light. Got behind an open box 1/2 ton truck. he,that 1/2 ton truck,starts stopping for the second stop light,but somehow I stopped without hitting him. what surprised me was I felt in control.

I used to ride fast like this in my 20s. The only problem is stopping.
Brakes have come a long way with hydraulic brakes with rotors. But still you aren’t wrong . 😝😝🤣
Hydraulic brakes. Better yet, organic pads. Also brands like Swissstop and Koolstop make great pads that you can grab brake on a dime.

simple physic an object of 2300 pounds will take far more time to come to a stop than a 180 pound rider. so unless the car hit a wall, the bike will have all day to go around.@@youcefdz5598

In several of his videos you can see safa do that, while riding with someone and trailing them, and then popping into that pose and losing the bit of drag from his exposed torso gives him enough of a speed boost to pass them even though the person he is following is pedaling all out (on a descent).
it might be silly in a lot of situations, but it does absolutely have an effect. and if youre going for max speed / fastest time, its the technique.

Not necessarily. Motorcycles riders do it everyday anyways. Not a big difference and could maybe argue the motorcycle is even more dangerous because of the power and weight

2. lights belting out X lumens to even the odds that the driver in the cocoon ahead will be aware of sb (too close to come to a halt in the event the motor vehicle ahead does brake) (for whatever reason, up to and including experience a stroke /cardiac arrest) YMMV

I was doing a ~40mile loop near Mt Rushmore/Black Elk Nat Forrest 2yrs ago and got to be a part of an entire motorcycle club run down the mountain. Some of the best moments on my bike
