@Plane Fan this is Republican hipocrisy in a nutshell. Fiscally conservative, therefore can't fund something like Medicare because it's too expensive. However, $1.5 trillion tax cut? Absolutely because of reasons...

@@commonsense320 This was copied from the "Big Lie" wiki. This phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile.
His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it Never to admit a fault or wrong; never to accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time; blame that enemy for everything that goes wrong; take advantage of every opportunity to raise a political whirlwind.
This article, titled Aus Churchills Lügenfabrik (English: "From Churchill's Lie Factory") was published in Die Zeit ohne Beispiel.
The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State
The essential English leadership secret does not depend on particular intelligence. Rather, it depends on a remarkably stupid thick-headedness. The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.

Within 90 days he filed bankruptcy. The result for union members was retirement went from 20 years to 25 years and health benefits were cut significantly. Donald Trump is on record calling it good business because he walked away with a hefty profit. Meanwhile my uncle died after 23 years in the union after complications from not taking care of his diabetes. He missed so much work and used all his time off etc. until he was let go without health insurance and without retirement funds. He should have been retired for 3 years instead he died penniless unable to afford medication.

I've seen this comparison before and I agree: People don't talk the way they talk about other government entities the way they talk about the post office losing money. Nobody says "the military loses 700+ billion a year" they say "the military got a 700+ billion budget". The USPS is an essential service, it doesn't "lose" money the way a private business does.

I liked the GOP a lot better before they went full fascist and realized that the people actually expect a little something for their tax dollars. I have also filed requests for investigations with my current post office, my old post office location, and the central post office in D.C. As a result of this lack of mail delivery, I have missed out on court dates that I didn't even know were scheduled, missed deadlines to file appeals on government benefits I was due but denied, and missed numerous other crucial notices that affect my health, health care, retirement benefits, and local government rights.
