Lollo Meier is flying the flag for melody and tradition
and in the current climate of 'Shred' it's so nice to be
reacquainted with the romance in Gypsy Jazz.
Was great to have Lollo in the Secrets studio where we
captured some magic including 2 cool bits of advice on
how to play the gypsy jazz rhythm or 'La Pompe'
The lessons are through the roof this month with ready
to go licks, intros, solo guitar arrangements from the best
in the world of gyps jazz.
Come join the party!

And Rob is flying the flag for straight swinging creativity. Instantly recognizable!
I like Lollo's quote from Perdido at 0:40. Robin's solo is so melodic. Django would be proud of you both.
You'll never see Lollo smile, if I could play like him, i would smile all the way....
Great stuff! Thank you for posting!

Unable to play a straight rhythm :)) an example for how it should not be done. Tensed up not easy listening, you both
can do this much better
Where's your video, you jerk? Let's see you do it better.
Schneesieber Erm I think you should master the C major scale first.
I thought it was great. Had great expression and feel but coordination, not so much. Still fantastic though. That's how soulful music is, and gypsy music is very soulful. It's an expression of words through music.
robins rhythm doesn't swing partly because he's tapping his foot one 2 and 4, when did people start doing that anyway it looks silly and makes you sound bad
Great no effort
really not easy to listen to, sorry
