He’s not dead so i don’t see why it wouldn’t affect him (wouldn’t matter much tho), it is said to cover large area (not stated how large but large enough to be banned from using so it would surely affect bigger portion of seretei than just where as and mask were)

The pronunciation isnt the same as the japanese one. The japanese pronounce it that way since well…they dont have anything in their language to create the “Vah” besides “baha”

For the arm,Neel,it's because of honor. Yamamoto didn't accept help from humans not just because he was stubborn,but because of his honor too. He sacrifieced his arm in order to stop the evil. It's like a trophy-scar,but also can be a reminder for him to not stop getting better
Edit: also yes,as many said,it's because he would have felt ashamed to ask help from humans when the Shinigami were suppose to protect them

Kenpachi going from one fight to other carrying dead guy just to pick anthother two on the way has the same vibe as Kurapika bringing shovel to the fight.
The hilarious part is, he clearly didn't have the first two bodies when fighting the third, so he basically won, then decided to come back to grab the corpses because he thought it'd be cool.
As Nōdt is literally me, but seriously his voice and entire character goes hard. When he said “the core of your soul is already consumed by my fear” I went “HE SAID THE LINE, HE SAID IT” because he said it in the quincy trailer thing

Seeing Old man Yama's powers in action makes me so excited, literally *the* most powerful Zanpakutou in the entire series. Knowing what happens in the manga i'm practically screaming!
Bro got killed, cremated AND spread out (his ashes) all in one 'swing'. Also you can really see Zaraki went 'all out' since he lost the eyepatch in the post credit scene. Meaning he wasn't actively limiting his spiritual pressure in the fight
Yamamoto really loved his lieutenant; he was very loyal to him and even though he had a bankai and many times there were slots open to get promoted to a captain he never applied and flat out refused to become a captain. He really admired yamamoto and he had taken an oath that he will never become a captain and shall always remain the lieutenant of yamamoto and continued to hone his skill while doing that so he can be of use to him when he needed
Also i like that they put in the detail that sasakibe has no pupil
Even in manga, the page with Rukia's smiling face turning to one of decomposing corpse filled me with exact same dread and revulsion I've seen in every person reacting to this episode.
Also all the emotions for Byakuya were exactly the same. The fight part of Genryusai's flashback is anime-only, and it makes everything about him and his loyal lieutenant so much better!

Best episode yet, they nailed it especially love Äs Nödt's voice, he sounds amazing. As for Yhwach you can hear Yamamoto say his name but It is a really weird name but it's pretty much pronounced as "Yuha Baha"

I love how Yamamoto was like "Ayo, this dude is a HUGE simp, but I kinda like him and he seems useful. The 2 ways to pronounce the Quincy King's name, Yhwach:
In Japanese: Yu-Ha Ba-Ha = Yuha Baha
In English: Ju-Ha Ba-K = Juha Bach

Just call him YU-HA for short lol

yes. It's those Kunai like things that 2nd squad people threw on the ground at the start of the episode. Those help communicate with 12th division where Ichigo's phone is connected.
They cut my favorite exchange from this segment of chapters and it makes me so sad.
Byakuya: "attacking an unfamiliar enemy all at once is a foolish way to lose the advantage of numbers. Watch me fight...and identify his ability!"
Renji: "th--then let me go first!"
Byakuya: "...it's...hard to imagine you have the wisdom to expose the entirety of his ability."
Renji: "ugh...you don't know that...Okay, maybe you're right."
I liked that in the manga too, but it would’ve ruined the tone to throw in a bit of comedy when seeing it in anime form. It’s just two different mediums.. I’ve noticed they’ve been cutting out a lot of the comedy bits.

It shows that Byakuya still, even after the Arrancar War, does not have faith in Renji's abilties. They're relationship is still roughly the same as in the SS arc. It also highlights Renji's immaturity, which, without spoiling how/why, becomes a major focal point for his character later in this arc.
Cutting that exchange doesn't just affect the tone, it affects their relationship and very characters.
@@corruptangel6793 Dont understand your point. Him not being able to defeat him or figure it out still stands. It can still be his focal point. The one sentence of him calling Renji dumb doesnt mean anything to the fight and seems like a comedic relief that would ruin the mood. Litteraly nothing was lost by them not adding it. It only made it better
@@xennori1409 Again, what was lost was depth of character writing. Insight into how Byakuya views Renji and how Renji views himself. The moment is treated in a lighthearted manner, but that doesn't change the significance of that exchange. Plus, it gives context as to the issue later on where his mentality is brought into play, which makes it slightly plot significant as well.
There's more going on then Byakuya simply calling Renji dumb in a comedic way. It was a small, but notable moment and cutting it gains nothing but time. Allowing the studio to spend those 5-10 seconds on something else they deem more important. An oversight in their attention to detail that I've been noticing since the first episode to varying degrees of severity. This being a relatively minor one. Which makes the fact Kubo himself was so heavily involved and proud of the product that much more disappointing.
Besides, you can absolutely have levity in a war story without it hurting anything, so long as it's handled well. It can even be beneficial, showcasing the characters trying to maintain a confident or calm demeanor in a dire situation. It can be used as a way to show them trying to psychologically distance themselves from the fact they very well mught be about to die. It can even be used as a way for a leader to uplift his subordinate's spirits. This particular moment would have fit those first two examples perfectly. In other words, this scene didn't *gain* anything from being cut. It didn't help the tone because the tone was never damaged to begin with.
The Quincy are German, so Yhwach is pronounced with German rules. It would be Yu-Ha for the Yh part, W is a V like the "w" of Volkswagen, and the ch would be a hard K, like "Baak". So something along the lines of "Yu-Ha Baak".
I'm probably wrong because I ain't German, but I think that is close to how it is pronounced.
Just in case no one did say before. The Quincy are supposed to represent the germans. Thats why they have such strange names for their abilities. For excample the „quincy vollständig“ means „quincy complete“ in you translate it. For a german like me it sounds completely hilarious xdd

Äs Nödt's (the fear dude) voice actor is incredible. You might also know him as: Kirito form SAO, Bell form Danmachi, Soma from Shokugeki no Soma and Inosuke from Kimetsu no Yaiba. That is to name VERY few of his roles. Incredible voice actor. From what I've read he got a relatively bad rep from voicing Kirito though.

but the Japanese dub usually has an accent to certain words, and for this it sounds like "Yu-Ha-Bahk(uh)"

@@NecrIon79 Episode 5 did not feel rushed at all. But episode 3 had some issues. Episode 3 and 4 had the same storyboard person which explains the weird pacing.

The name Yhwach most likely comes from the ancient israelite got Yahwe (YHWH) on which the christian, muslim and jewish gods are most likely based on. The Japanese pronunciation is "Yuhabaha" though that is probably far from the pronunciation it would actually have if we were to follow the (most likely) origins. Most people I personally know pronounce his name as "Yuha Bach". Its close to the japanese pronunciation, and the "Bach" would perfectly fit the german theme. (though the Yuha part wouldn't quite).
You could take it a step further and pronounce the name as "Johan Bach" (which would still be pretty close) to make it extra german.

Yhwach, if you listen to Yamamoto, is pronounced Yoo-ha-bok. The extra 'a' at the end is just a japanese-ism they add on to all foreign words, and doesn't need to be to included.
