I have never heard a soprano control the pianissimi as well as Ms Devieilhe. Evident in a number of recordings captured on CZcams. Both precise and expressive without a hint of schmaltz.

In the teatro it is a completely different thing. For these recordings they place mics. In the house it is not that easy.
