You should do "What if Power Rangers never existed"
Like how the whole genre would be seen in the west

There were dubs of tokusatsu shows long before Power Rangers. Liveman and, I believe, Flashman got Spanish dubs, and so did a few of the Ultraman seasons.
Without Power Rangers, the genre would have likely gone the same route as anime: a few dubbed releases on TV in the 90s, the occasional subbed VHS/DVD during the early 2000s, fansubs popping up during the 2010s and rampart piracy until someone makes them more easily available via a streaming service.
Basically, the show would become slightly more accessible in the west, the merchandise/toys thought would be a different story...

That’s an interesting one. I could see it going either way. I feel like so things like Rider might have a chance for better exposure without being thought of as more power rangers.
On the other hand I feel like there is a good chance sentai might not be known about much at all.

In terms of suits, I think the reboot suits would have been sort of a fusion between the Beast Morpher suits and the 1995 movie suits. Leather suits would be easier for casual audiences to take seriously enough, at least more than spandex, and they might have tried to do some kind of armored look, especially for the Sixth.

I’m not sure if this scenario is worth making a video, but “What if Saban never lost the rights to Power Rangers?” It seems interesting to explore since the Post Zordon Era had a pretty consistent quality to its seasons and I wonder if the show would’ve kept that quality til today.

I feel like in this day in age the reboot would be moderately success if it was received really well. If the reboot was bad we likely would be a terrible situation. Even Transformers is struggling at being a major hit now. RotB was only a moderate success. Transformers One at the very least looks to breath new life into the brand from the movie side. And people who had early screenings loved it. It's so funny. ILM who animated TF One also animated Ultraman Rising for Netflix. Both films were my most anticipated films of the year and they delivered bangers. Maybe Hasbro should get them to make a Power Rangers animated film. It really is an uphill battle for IPs that are centered around selling toys.

Depends on what they're trying to do and who they're targeting. Honestly... it's not that bad that everything is on hiatus. It gives Hasbro more time to figure out what they're trying to do and who their demographic is. But, saying that maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to have PLEX, Rainbow Productions, and maybe a couple of Japanese writers. Japan has never had a problem doing "serious" or "dark" elements in Tokusatsu.

Like you said, Power Rangers while still having some mainstream relevance isn't the big household name as it was in the 90s. So I agree that even if the Reboot was a success, it wouldn't launch us into a new Renessance era for the franchise. So realistically We'd probably end up in a cycle of "New incarnation than reboot". Even If espoused mutliple times that I'm not a fan of the idea of being in a loop of "MMPR but with a new coat of paint", it still feels like the reasonable conclusion that this might be the path Hasbro might take.

Here's the thing, If they really want to go forth with the reboot? 3 seasons & a movie would be Ideal & cool. [depending on how many eps] Now if they want to go further, they can have a big Hiatus afterwards, say 6 to 9 months. Then make another new series/incarnation that goes for another 3 seasons & a movie. That's is something I could be open too.

I believe it will for the simple fact they want to distance themselves from mmpr as the suits are part of super sentai and toei. So if the new suits come out heres whats gonna happen, mmpr purists will hate watch and it will do good because hate watching just makes sense and then after the hate watchers leave a good show will be there.

They could've went and made Power Rangers 2 and tried to release it between 2019-2021 just make it better than the first one and the actors/characters were likeable. Becky G was on WWE(those fans can be brutal but they cheered her and referred to her as the yellow ranger). Stranger Things bad boy brother was the new Jason the 2017 PR movie could've worked for 3 movies.

Hasbro made this with DEI in mind.
All they had to do was introduce Power Rangers to a younger audience while staying faithful to the original.
Imagine a movie with 5 teenagers, all friends, all super kind, and one day thrust into the world of Power Rangering...
Nope, they gave all 5 kids with terrible attitudes, daddy and mommy issues, just like 100% of everything out there that is failing.
Heck, they had all the Japanese storylines written already if they wanted....but DEI was more important.

@@Mark_Knight The Power Rangers always having to be "role models" is something that inherently that holds it back. That's exactly what I disliked about the Neo-Saban Era, it's comes across like the show is talking down to you. It also makes the characters somewhat one-dimensional and unrelatable to a degree. That should've stayed in the 90s.

I think there were two possibilities for their reboot attempt:
Either it was moderately successful (it was never going to do Marvel or Game of Thrones numbers, let's be real, I'm thinking something along the lines of the She-Ra or Voltron reboots) and we get a few seasons. Then they do the Ninja Turtles thing and reboot it again every few years.
Or, it's gets a mixed reception, doesn't do the numbers they were hopping for and we go back to sentai adaptations but with probably more original stuff thrown in evey now and then (like Once and Always).
Also, just for the heck of it: there's probably an alternate universe where the reboot is live action and it's very successful so Toei ends up doing the reverse of Power Rager and adapting our American Powerful Rangers into Super Sentai.

They should have just revamped the series and kept it going,,
    And experiment with different versions,,
Pr is a gamble ,, its like you said its not for everyone - there's not as much interest for it as dc or marvel,, 2017 movie shows that,,
Its also similar to why they always go for mmpr never touch on, that was the biggest period of pr, same with star wars with the original films,,
Sadly pr doesn't have the same fan base as star wars, so zeo, turbo probably won't be drawing up fans -‐
I remember jetix?? Marathon for weeks and weeks every seasons,, overdrive was ariing at the time,, they gone from overdrive down to wild force to space, always skip zeo and turbo to mmpr,,,
    15yrs since.
Yeah 2017 movie was a reboot for mmpr, its biggest market, and it didn't work,,
I believe they put too much gamble on the reboot of the series and went bust,,
If they might have been great but again its such a gamble,,
They should have just revamped the series and kept it going with netflix,,,
    Then experiment with rebooting,
They did once and always,, and everyone liked it,,,,
They should bring the series back and do specials..
