- Despite studying computer science at university, I secured a training contract for a magic circle law firm.
In this video, I share some of the things I did to secure the TC!

Hey guys, let me know where you are in your legal journeys. I want to know more law students / future trainee solicitors!
In my second year of uni with a TC from CC
@@gloriiv7oa oooo that’s awesome!! Congrats.
Non Law Graduate starting to seriously consider a move into Law. This video is giving me some hope!

I am in my final year LLB. Looking at training contracts now.
Having a healthy mindset will always bring forth the best outcomes in life, and I'm glad that you are emphasising this point in this video. Keep on going, Sean.😊
Thank you, I appreciate it ☺️
Congratulations Mista! Well done! You're an inspiration & you message about believing in yourself in the face of many rejections is a powerful one.
Thank you for this. Really needed it
Yes! More law videos please. We need a legal influencer like you 😌
Well, my channel is now about legal journey, so there will be plenty of new content that will be right down your street
What's your advice to international students looking to come to the UK to get a PGDL. Do you think they have a shot at getting a Training Contract?
Could you please tell me whether an Indian qualified lawyer is eligible for the training contracts/vacation schemes in UK law firms?
Are you firm sponsoring you to do GDL first and if so how did you go about obtaining that?
Awesome content! Did you have a vacation scheme or did you get a training contract right away?
Thanks! I did a vacation scheme!
Congratulations! I have a question:
Nevermind, the personal growth you achieved through your somewhat turbulent path to law, do you ever wish you just took the law undergrad instead of an extra year for the GDL?
Haha! To answer your question, no I don’t wish I studied law at undergrad. I’d rather do it as a conversion course for a shorter amount of time.
Would you consider having a call with me to go over my application for a magic circle?!
I don't have a law background (I start this Autumn) but I struggle on Forage with the virtual schemes because I don't have a law background. How did you navigate through that? Thank you!
I want to know that too!
Hi, really great vid! Did you mention previous failed applications in your successful application? In terms of challenges you overcame etc. I'm struggling with what to write regarding challenges I have faced in my applications, please help!
Hey there, nope I didn’t. If you have to talk about struggles consider a structure like: context, action, result.
Would you mind sharing how you prepped for assessment centres please?

Black privilege and minorities quotas. That’s how sad this is.
This man is sitting here with his future set up after working hard and you’re here being racist with 2 subscribers. Get a life
@@Sam-sp3nc the only racist thing is the reason why he got employed in the first place. If you even think this guy got in a magic circle firm with no law experience at all for any other reason than minority quotas, then you need to get your head out of your ass mate and get a reality check.
@@Sam-sp3nc You know it's true.
Minorities quotas don’t cover the people who have ACCESS to these jobs? Even if there is a quota the likelihood of a diverse application pool is slim - not everyone can afford paying for further education/has contacts. People work their arse off for a seat at the table just for stupid comments like this.
@@MsStarface123 You couldn't be more ill informed. I can tell you've never worked in the industry. So keep your irrelevant opinion to yourself and get some experience. Once you've done that, you'll realise a lot of things.
