00:12:09: Historic designation discussion begins. What kind of document is RASE trying to create? Memo to ANC.
00:13:46: Chevy Chase Conservancy (CCC) is hosting a zoom. RASE members should attend and ask questions.
00:18:38: Process discussion. HPRB can overrule ANC. But silence from RASE would be seen as acquiescence. HPO has reached out to affected properties.
00:23:47: What should RASE strategy be?
00:36:05: Definition of affordability - CCC claims HD would increase affordability by limiting McMansions. If you look at other HDs, quite the reverse. Restricted supply forces prices up. Look at Georgetown.

00:52:50: Developers should be made to put 2-3 smaller houses on a lot to promote black homeownership.
00:53:05: Timing significant - CCC same people as those against affordable housing at civic core.
00:57:33: Discussion of economics of affordable housing. Not realistic to put even four units on one lot - still not affordable. City should subsidize, "especially in this area where it's been proven to be exclusionary."
