If you're going to name yourself after a Running Wild song, I expect more Running Wild power and less crappy Failstorm sea shanty. I'll stick with Blazon Stone.
you are comparing different genres. "Failstorm" (presuming you mean Alestorm) are more of a folk metal, while Running wild are power-heavy
Yes, I know that, so if these guys are gonna name themselves after a Running Wild song, they should be more power/heavy, and less like a knockoff of a crap band like Alestorm. That was the whole point, they took their name from Running Wild, but sound like Failstorm. It's like if a band names themselves "The Trooper" then sounds like Epica, or a band calling themselves "Master of Puppets" and playing music that sounds like Def Leppard.
But Privateer is term for hired pirates, it doesn't necessarily mean they took from song title. While Blazon stone already isn't just a common term and can be much easier connected with Running wild. Speaking of the name, Privateer is from Black hand inn album, sadly Blazon stone music isn't really based on it, because I think it's still one of the best albums ever released.
A band that sings about pirates, calling themselves "THE" Privateer(not just "Privateer"), yeah, sorry, that's a RW reference clearly. And Blazon Stone's music IS based on Running Wild, just cause RW are better doesn't mean Blazon Stone isn't based on them.

our Bandname is NOT ment to be a reference to Running Wild. We founded our Band 2007 as "Privateer", but a polish band already had this name and they sued us. So we changed our name in THE Privateer. Okay, "Privateer OF FIRE" would have worked also (like Rhapsody of Fire). We`re not aiming to sound like Running Wild or Alestorm. Sure, there are similarities, but its ok for us, if not everbody likes it.
