I bought this atv based on your review. and after owning 5 polaris's and a few hondas. your review was pretty much spot on. its awsome! spanks my buddys sportsman, and goes anywhere. climbs logs like a lumberjack. and fast enough to get in trouble!

I paid 5700 before tax, and now that ive had a chance to plow snow with it and do some riding id say yes without a doubt, it will hit 60mph and rides great, but it all depends on what you want it for, its a little more utility than sport. like a 3/4 ton truck

The understeer then oversteer handling trait could be a tire issue, especially on a tire with a rounded tread profile. In a turn or slide, the tires slide until the outside tires flex and/or ATV leans enough that anopther portion of the trad contacts the ground, then they suddenly grip. Installing tires could either eliminate the problem or reduce the problem, especiially if the tread profile is flat versus rounded.

How does this measure up against the Grizzly 450 in terms of power and handling? I have an '05 400 and the thing goes up and over any and all trail obstacles but handles like crap even at slow steer because most of the weight is to the rear. I wonder if the Grizzly is a better balanced machine.

Well said. I have an '05 400 and it's exactly what you said in terms of it's ride; more of a utility machine. It's a great workhorse.

I'd go for the 'Cat due to the excellent transmission. It engages very quickly which is great for plowing

Single lever braking is a flaw ..in extreme terrible cliffy terrain you cant always reach the 1 lever

Part of the reason i wouldn't want to buy this quad is because of it's larger chassis. I prefer smaller personally
