  • Here we did a unboxing and review of the Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum 7-shot 686-6 with Remington 158 grain lead tip .38 rounds, and Freedommunitions 158 grain jacketed hollow point rounds. We shot 4 of each, 2 single action and 2 double action and in the video you can see how far the hammer pulls back the trigger under pre-load. Once the hammer pulls back the trimmer, there's essentially no pull at all other than a mean to apply pressure to the trigger and it fires! The 2.5" barrel model has the perfect weight distribution, in my opinion. It's heavy enough to mitigate the recoil, but not so heavy that your arm gets tired when shooting with only one hand. And if seven shots isn't enough, you can easily bludgeon your attacker with it. Ha!

Taurus, Ruger LCR, Kimber K6s, Charter Arms, Colt Cobra and King Cobra Snubs, and S&W Jframes dominate the carry market when it comes to revolvers and have so for decades without the ejection being a big deal.

    The .454 must be nuts!!

    • @lockedloaded9048
      @lockedloaded9048  Před 4 lety

      I wish I personally owned one but at the current time I don't. I've shot one a few times and the adrenaline and power is just insane! The next few on my list to pickup are the Sig Sauer P938 in the 2-tone army green and black (in .45 caliber of course), the Chiappa SAR Rhino 30DS chambered in .357 magnum, and then I'll work my way back up to the Super Redhawk Alaskan .454 Casull. Mainly due to price and what I need at the time. Since I sold my .45 acp I no longer have one at all so that's why it's first, plus I've always wanted a Rhino and it's cheaper than the .454. But still, they will All be on the channel eventually no doubt since I still watch others' videos of them and get excited about preparing for the next investment! Also, what happened to your 44 magnum?

    • @jaycamacho8179
      @jaycamacho8179 Před 4 lety +2

      Locked & Loaded i ended up doing a trade plus cash deal for it. Someone gave me a brand new G19X and $200 and I only paid $600 for the red hawk so it was a solid deal for me. I sold the Glock for $525 and ended up with some profit.
      Now I have a S&W 686+ 2.5” as my carry :)

      @@jaycamacho8179 Very nice, and nice turn around! And what was your thoughts on the 19x? I've been contemplating picking one up if the price is right since people seem to like the 17 style grip they placed on it since they don't feel like they have to do a lot of readjusting while firing. Did you have the same experience?

      Locked & Loaded oh yes big time! I was shocked to find how light the recoil is. Its a great shooter no doubt! I also have an M&P 2.0 full size slide on a compact frame and it shoots just as good if not better then the 19X.

      @@jaycamacho8179 Awesome, I appreciate that information! I miss my M&P, recently got rid of it to make some more room and since it never got carried, but it stayed in the family. Also, definitely agree on that last statement. The new video reviewing my wife's shamrock green and black Charter Arms UC Lite will be up soon. Great little carry revolver if you're needing something real light, but extremely durable! And relatively inexpensive coming in at around $380.

      Hey Phoenix, I hope you at least enjoyed the end where we fired the pistol to show the recoil. However, for the beginning and majority of the video, I wanted to make sure to get a close up review straight out of the box, but I’ll take your feedback positively and switch up future videos!! I’m not sponsored or make any money off of these videos, and with ammo prices and demand being the way they are at the moment, there hasn’t been much shooting going on over this way. But I hope you stay tuned because there’s a lot of cool and interesting reviews I’d like to make as soon as things lighten up! Take care~

    The empty casing is Not to show that it was fired/working it is to show the firing pin imprint and it is turned over to the police so that if a shell is recovered from a crime scene they can use a microscope to examine and see if the gun that made that imprint is yours...I believe at one time it was required to to turn this over to police in Mass upon purchasing the gun....not sure anymore
