Man i love these 4 man tournaments, favorite beach content of the year... Such a more dynamic and strategic version of beavh volley, i keep asking my local players to try a 4 man every now and then but everyone is a 2's only purist around here
Love the 4v4s too, a lot of fun to play and watch. But I disagree with it being more dynamic and strategic than 2s, perhaps for the viewer because you see a lot more spikes, but once you've established the offensive and defensive systems, there's not a lot of strategy to it outside of hit the ball hard.
Miles literally does everything so well. Didn’t even want to serve to him. Best player on the beach! Love watching him

Yo this is so sick truly history in the making, thank you Mckibbons I'm really happy the vball community got you bros. I really hope 4 man volleyball catches some sponsors so that there can be like 2 big tournaments a year or sum like that, it looks like the pros love it too. I hope international pros see this and want to try it out. Again thank you Mckibbons for doing all this and putting it on CZcams for free.

Rogers wisdom to start setting T Crabb was the biggest difference between the games. I think Crabb hit 1.000 or close to it

Don't know how this or the other ones end, but I don't see how you beat Team Citrus unless you're an insane serving team. Ranghieri, Sander and Crabb are just too good a combo.
Sander carried the offense early, but it was Alex's blocking and Crabb's excellent defense and hitting out of the middle that made the huge difference late. Great match to kick off the CZcams tourney replay with.
What happened with Benesh's missed serve at 3-4 in the first game? Did they just miss scoring it?

hahaha, You gotta ask Gibb and everyone else on the team but I'm pretty sure it came down to the fact that miles is probably in a little better shape when it comes to hitting a lot of balls than Jake is right now.

What are the rules for this tournament? Looks like Benesh keeps open hand tipping.
Basically 2s beach rules, no one handed tips but joust are fine, loose on hands calls, and the block doesn’t count as a touch. There’s more but you get the gist
Taylor sander is the only exception to the “defenders hit harder than blockers” rule

Neither team was a fan of the ref. Tight calls where unnecessary and no calls where some were probably needed with Benesh’s open handed pushes. The make up call was hilarious!

Man these people behind the camera are annoying. Give the ref a break.
The refs did a great job and we purposefully talked with them not to be as strict on hands calls so they did their best to tight walk that line.
Appreciate the content but without commentary might as well post up the live stream right away instead of waiting 5 days for basically the same thing
You say "Appreciate the content..." like Ricky Bobby says "With all due respect..." This video is NOTHING like a livestream. It's WAY better. What's different is the essence of what good commentary adds to a live event--perspective and insight into what's really going on. And all that tedious editing--cuts switching between multiple cameras and from one pov to another, plus close slow-mo replays, plus getting the audio just right--takes a tremendous amount of skilled work. The payoff? It tells us the story without the need for Sunderland and Barnett to pretend they're friends. ;-) They weren't "waiting 5 days." We were. I had snacks. Hope you were so lucky. All served up to your couch and mine for free. Thank you McKibbin Bros!
@@NormMarquardson I think it's a travesty the way the beach volleyball community handles video streaming, especially the AVP and the lack of a clear distribution channel. This event is no different, no livestream nor communication about when videos would even go out. I don't need slomo or any different angles. If you're not even going to add some commentary or even acknowledge how the format or subs are working you might as well just post the back court camera angle the same day instead of making fans wait weeks for all the games...
