Installed a Volts Mini bikes .330 cam in the Tillotson 225 powered Mega Moto 80/105 minibike to see how it would run compared to Paul's karts PKRPM cam.

That duration on the volts cam sure is letting those big valves do work compared to the Paul's kart. Fast bike fore sure. Love to see same setup with step exhaust and no muffler.

Back in 2018 my favorite channel on CZcams was bleeping jeep and finally after a few years hhjh found your channel about mini bikes and I have a mm80 frame
Paul's karts is local like 30mins from me. .I've been following him for a whike.. a cool dude and does some great work..im in the process of building a hemi 212 switching from a flathead methanol briggs.
Awesome! We use to run the flathead Briggs in kart racing back in the 1980s with billet Hortsmnan parts on methanol. There are a couple picks in the community tab on the channel.
Very cool comparison on the cams sir. I would love to see you do more videos on clutches and how to tune adjustable clutches and there effects on top end and also 0-30 MPH. I would also love to see the difference between a clutch for the average minibike compared to the serious all out racer!!! Great stuff man!👏🎥👍🇺🇸

I know this is unrelated, but I would love to see an experiment.
Tillotson 212 stock (electric start preferably)
Block Internals: ARC stock length con rod, mod 2 cam, stock pushrods and lifters, and stock piston, stock crank as well.
Head work: ported head, like 1.2mil over spec, 1.2:1 ratio lifters, 24lb valve springs, high compression gasket, stock carb with short manifold and long runner between the filter and the carb (like a snorkel or a 90* back turn to where the gas tank used to be over top of the block.)
Objective, takeoff speed, full rpm range of the torque converter, possibility to run powered accessories and have extra power over stock, perhaps the converter allowing for taller final drive ratio perhaps a custom 14t sproket on the driven pulley, and a 35t or 30t on the hub, greater top speed, with faster acceleration, and still keeping rpm down.
But I could be completely wrong with my theory.
External work: torque converter Tav2 30 series, stock electric start flywheel, with stator magnets and stator installed for headlights.
That’s one hell of a mini bike! I could almost commute on a bike like that.

So im adding a 308 cam to my 225rs it had 26lbs spring stock would i have to up grade to 37lbs springs

More duration at top speed.. means more air more fuel..better chamber filling and purge ....which makes more power ....
Your gearing is holding the top speed back.

Just found this channel. Building a predator 212 and I’m having a lot of vibration from the engine. Can you address this issue. Reading this is normal for a predator.
What size crank bolt are you running on the 225 crankshaft? Is it 5/16-24 fine thread?

I try and keep the launch technique the same in every test just to try and keep things consistent for the parts comparisons. .

Is the predator ghost faster out of the box stock or is the predator 224cc faster out of the box stock
The 224 has a governor out of the box so it might be slower but The 224 has more potential IMO because of the 58MM stroke and block. If you are going to have to buy billet parts for either engine and especially the ghost to get rid of the rev limiter then I would rather buy them for the 224. Even though the Ghost is a good engine. Nothing wrong with it.

@Black66 I am running an ARC flywheel with 32 degrees of timing. I am also running the same 330 cam, should I add 2 degrees of timing? Thank you in advance for your help, I have managed to build 2 pretty respectable mini bikes thanks to your videos.
You need heavier springs 55lb duals+
Why do these guys keep their cam specs secret? Why would i buy a mystery camshaft of undisclosed duration, centre lines or even lift on Pauls kart cam. Swap that Pauls head out and it'll go ever better.

You need some 10” wheels and some Dunlop 130/90-10 d180 tires. 19.2” tall. Get those a bike and compare that!
Don't order this cam or any other parts from volts minibikes unless you wanna live to regret it like I and others have from what I've been reading. I've waited 2 months for my cam. Still haven't received it. Read on their facebook a post where another guy was still waiting for his parts after weeks. I finally ordered cam from somewhere else. I messaged them on Facebook, instagram, email and called them multiple times. No answer when I called or response to my messages!!! I finally had to call my my financial institution and have them try to deal with it. Been tons of fun and it was the only thing holding up my build up. Sucks I had to buy the same part twice and I might not even receive my money back from them according to my financial institution.
