I love how nemesis is supposed to be this evil Eldritch monster, but in the advertisement it helped guests put on their restraints and blasted some rock away so the guests wouldn’t crash into it.

I became intimately familiar with Alton Towers as a teenager, despite having never been to the UK, because of an insanely detailed recreation of it in Roller Coaster Tycoon that someone had uploaded to a fan site in the early 2000's. I loved managing the park as it was a challenge to manage such a big park in RCT. Despite never being there myself, I have some weird nostalgia for the virtual Alton Towers thanks to RCT

Is that a miniature model of the entire coaster I see in that video? Towers should sell replicas of that. I would buy one at a high price. It's a travesty that there's no real Nemesis store at Towers anymore. Whatever merchandise they do sell is always themed towards the loop part of the ride rather than the actual alien. It's so weird that the most iconic character in the park isn't really represented these days. Hoping that 2019 brings some special celebrations for Nemesis' 25th anniversary.

I went on October 12 this year and found only two Nemesis monster plushies. One is a Nemesis themed bear and one is a small monster plush with a keychain clip thing. I went with my college and one girl got the bear while I got the monster. The monster plushie has a light red body with dark red spots like a giraffe pattern, three green eyes (one on a stalk on its head like the ride, a green star eye and a green round eye) and has a humanoid shape and he’s wearing a black onesie for reasons unknown. No idea which shop the girl got her bear from (she wasn’t walking around with my group) but I got mine from the Galactica shop as well as I saw the bear there

One year (when air opened) we got in to the park early to ride air, once done we went to Nemesis, rode it once, got off, ran the empty queue, then when we came back in to the station from the second run, the guy said "no need to get off". The floor came up, went down and we went straight away! After the third time in a row... We needed a seat. Lol

Ah Nemesis, the best roller coaster I've ever experenced, loved it as a kid, love it as an adult. Though I admit the ride experence has gotten a bit rougher over the years with the Beast showing it's age, last time I rode it the twist just as we re-entered the station jarred my hips pretty badly, no enough to put me off the ride but enough that I still felt it the next day.
I love the backstory of Nemesis, though the version I remember as being a little different. That while the Beast is pinned by the coaster it would eventually get it's self free, but it can't as the sound of people screaming in fear and joy as they ride Nemesis keeps it frozen in place so that it can't get lose.

spot on, nemesis is the top coaster in this country FULL STOP.....
The coaster has strange features where you sit. Toward the back its soft and tame, but front (left) is intense and feels a lot more than the 4.5g is advertised.
Im really looking forward to taking my 10 year old twins on the old gal next year as they have not ridden her yet, the first ride on the front should be something they will remember.

Nemesis is iconic due to its surroundings. Any B&M inverted will always be a good coaster to ride but the pit that Nemesis is built into takes it to another level. The layout of the ride is perfect. Its non stop intense action right until the section after the vertical loop where you get a few seconds to catch your breath before being thrown into the surprise last inversion that catches new riders out. Ive not ridden it for many years but with the newly installed re-track it gives me another chance to get on it in the future

I love how at 4:21 the man is talking about how you don’t need to have the longest tallest fastest rollercoaster when someone is just going to top it next year but then a couple years later they make the smiler and that has the most inversions on a roller coaster 😂

A couple of years? Try 19. Also, the most inversion record isn't one that's topped all too often. Prior to the Smiler's 14 smashing the record in 2013, Colossus held it for 11 years, with 10.

Nemesis is the best in the UK without a doubt. It's fast, forceful, smooth, well themed throughout the whole ride and Alton Towers would not be the park it is today without it. The tight ground clearance, the roaring track and the relentless pace, it's everything a good rollercoaster should be. It's a magnificent ride and I still love it just as much today.

Nemesis looks like such an amazing ride! I really hope to experience it one day... I bet without the intense height restrictions it wouldn't be nearly as good of a ride. When you have restrictions like that you're forced to be more creative, which you can clearly see from this coaster. Went to CP and Raptor is my second favorite coaster there (under SV of course.) B&M inverts are by far their most intense coasters and I always love riding them. Even just the Batman at SFGAm manages to be pretty intense.

Nemesis: Yesss, they're talking about me! Look, I know that the other coasters are great, but come on, be honest. They wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for me.
Oblivion: Ah yes, good old Nemesis. Back when Alton Towers was truly starting to get rid of that rubbish fairground image.
Air: Even today, it looks intimidating, doesn't it? The track is directly above your head, and those inversions are still as mind-bending as before!
Rita: When my ride came out, I was so high on the belief that I'd overtake Nemesis as the best ride on the park. I was wrong, Nemesis is still the best.
Th13teen: I remember walking by Nemesis on my first day here at the Towers. It's even better in person than it is online, I guarantee it.
Smiler: Oh yeah, I've seen Nemmy before. Let me tell you though, he doesn't have as much inversions as me. Still not a bad ride, but I'm just better.
Wicker Man: He's still the king. No matter what anybody else says, I still believe that Nemesis is the king. Don't @ me.
