Oh that sound, wow. RJ's filtering skills are sublime, I find it soothing to watch..
So confident too!
I'm loving that style even more!
You are awesome RJ
if there's a man whos's the best for testing a bikes capability of commuting in a crowded city it's you RJ there's nobody better for the job nice video keep em coming.
Love the bike. Sounds beautiful. Great video. Makes me miss my home, London, even more.
This looked like a cold wet ride, but a good one. Love the look and sound of this bike. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Great sounding bike and beatifull!
Sounds really good, different than the superduke.
Picked up a 2019 and love it!!
Yeahh
YAY your old intro is back
I hate it. Each time so close to the heart attack!
Aziz Larabi why
he is going to start rotating his intros from now on.
RJ fan from India, love you lots
love the first hand review by commute100%
Great video. You sure get a lot of riding in the rain there.
Amazing filtering skills and judgement
Old intros are the best one RJ!
I'm looking forward to your long ride review. 😎.
WoW 😍😍😍thanks for test ride,
I really like the look and options ... I may have to stray,
lol!
Take it easy RJ
looks great
RJ personally cleaning up the streets of London! Good man...................
man ¡¡¡ the way that you filter between cars its just riduculous ¡¡¡ congrats
it never ceases to amaze me how easy for you to filter with such a large bike lol. im riding a duke 250 and not only im slow to filter, i havent been able to decide to put sliders and roll cages for safety just because of adding the width of the lower part of the bike lol.
Wow , I like it.. like it a lot
Smooth ride
Like a BOSS.
I like how you did the biketalk at a different location.
That old intro is so short and sweet.
Yesss RJ has uploaded👍 haha.
Swap the intros is a very good idea in my opinion. They are all nice, but I have to say.. This one is my favorite !
I really liked the intro RJ had going last year anyone else ?
Nice review RJ. This bike is on my list for when I move on from my CB1000R. I have so far tested the BMW 1000r and the duke, and the duke was my favourite. When I saw they were bringing out the Gt I thought this will be ideal as I'd like to venture further afield more often, so I went and checked it out at the bike show at excel last year. To be honest I didn't like it as much as the duke. I felt the tank and fairings were too much compounded by the fact that I was used to naked street bikes. So your comment that it's a good well balanced ride has spiked my interest again. The only draw back for me now is the price...... but we can dream.
lovely bike
laktoweiz du bist auch überall :')
London is so beautiful, riding in London is pure enjoyment.
adventure bike are very easy to manouver and ride in tight spots, i often use one in riding in SF
Hello RoyalJordanian i love your vidéo have a nice day man ! :D
nice bike.
i like it.
thank you for changing the intro. I don"t have to start your videos on mute anymore..
I also reviewed this bike. Was such an incredible ride !
Will have to start taking my ZZR1400 up there soon, will have to put some loud pipes on it first as it sounds like a moped on the standard ones
this video is the perfect example to show that filtering is an art..😎
Your lane splitting skills amaze me.
Cor that exhaust. I miss having a nice sounding bike. I love the GS but miss the noise.
Green park, Hyde Park Corner, West kensington...I am surprised I have never seen myself on your videos :p
keep them coming :)
Used to live in London year's ago and recognize some parts from your clips BUT a commentary along the line's of I'm now on the Cromwell Rd/A2/Eastern Ave etc etc heading to such & such would go a long way Especially if you're in another country watching it.Just a thought. Keep safe & sending out the vids.NEW ZEALAND out.8/2/17.
RJ casually sliding through those cracks
Q&A
What You think about new Honda Grom?
Hey RJ, can you test ride the new MT 09?
I recognise that junction at 4:38. Is it the one where a little kid who was with his dad sat on the Nuda and you said he'd be a biker of the future ? Nice bike. Ride Safe.
Have you ever tried this cornering abs?
It's no good RJ. The rain drops make more noise than the exhaust ;-)
RJ the orange phone placing thingy, did you place it there or did it came with the bike?
Came with the bike.
QS sounds nice
RJ, thank you for shooting and sharing these videos! What jacket are you wearing here? Is it good for a heavy rain? How is it in the cold? Thanks from Wisconsin!
Rukka Armaxis. 100% water proof, tested while riding 6 hours continuously in heavy rain and extremely warm.
I want to see RJ commuting on a Goldwing or a K1600GT :P
great vid man,how is the bike going now your used to it?
It purrs like a lion cub. Lovely.
Cool filtering at 1:09
RJ can I ask how did you feel about the adjustable windshield I found you got a lot of vibration noise from it could you tell me if you got the same feeling
This will be answered in an upcoming episode where I took it on a 240 miles trip.
Some of the gaps you went through were very tight braver than me......good riding though.I love the bike just by looking at it and videos i will test one soon..Did you buy one ? Any problems ?
@RoyalJordanian What is the holder that's above the cluster for?
Phones
Nice bike and awesome looks to!
It seams that the mirrors could be better tho..
R.I.P. \m/ Ride in peace
he's called royal Jordanian because he's the filter king
I like how it purrs (:
Nice video RJ. Are you going to take it on a 'good ride' sometime. Also what's the weather protection like?
Ed van Andel ok thanks
What's the square orange thing at the front? Looks like a phone holder?
what do you like more S.D. GT or the old S.D.
I might get one...fed up of my Africa Twin already...I feel like scaring myself a bit...KTM will do that.
in London you can ride in bus lane?
Hey RJ! will you do a review of the Ducati scrambler at anytime?
that Alfa Romeo 159 😍
3:22 RJ, how did you know to slow down for the taxi? You started braking well before he started turning his wheels. Is it a maneuver they pull regularly? I wouldn't have seen that coming.
You learn to read the driver's thoughts through the car's body language, in that case the positioning and the slow speed.
why old intros for the GT Duke?
Desantos123 UK I believe he is rotating through all of his intros now.
Those mirrors align perfectly with cars mirrors, that's a drag when filtering...
No, they are higher, they align with vans and 4x4's
Hi guess the camera angle fooled me. Great bike btw. Ride Safe.
RJ! Any chance you'd get to try the Yamaha XSR900? :)
Obviously, RJ is super good at this.. but daaamn, what a struggle. Too much of a tank.
such a passive exhaust sound its like hearing the postman here in Australia sorry RJ
What happened to the external audio recorder ?? :/
How important is the semi-active suspension difference between the "R" and the "GT" in your opinion?
It's important on the GT as it allows you to change settings on the fly as and when you ride with a pillion and/or luggage.
Stock mirrors on KTM's seem to be a problem.. If you look at my video (first random encounters) you can see mine gives up aswell at high speed... everytime before I start riding I have to tighten them with a wrench lol ;P
nice bike, but cant they fit mirrors on a cam so you pull them in for filtering then push them out easily to there original setting? surely that cant be hard to do.
It's good point you raise and is one of the most frustrating things about bike manufacturers. They put virtually nil effort into ergonomics. 2m tall? 1.7m tall? We don't care. We will give you no seat adjustment, no pedal adjustment and we put these nice knobbly bits on our tank so if you have long legs they stick right in your knee joints when you ride (KTM Duke 200 and 390, WTF?), should be a nice fulcrum so you can break your femur if you get hit side on.
It's almost like they want you to crash and go out of their way to make bikes difficult to control. How about side mirrors that are so small you can't see anything in them, pillion pegs that require you to be a master at yoga to even use them. No adjustment. None. Just get f%cked if you are smaller or bigger than average.
I just don't get the bike makers logic at all. No ABS on learner bikes. If ever you needed it, its when you are starting out. Traction control? Compulsory on cars but not on bikes. WTF, more bikers get killed than drivers in Singapore but nah, f*ck em, let the newbies smash themselves to bits. We can sell them a replacement bike.
It makes sense if you want to grow your market to encourage new riders by providing safer bikes. But no, here is your non-adjustable, skinny tired bike with drum brakes (can you even get a car with drum brakes now?), no abs no traction control and lights that can barely illuminate the front wheel. I just don't get it.
Oops, got carried away. Rant over.
Your KTM is a cool bike
it actually isnt his i believe i think he can borrow it for a few days to like test it and stuff
poshstew Oh that's unfortunate
He still has a Super Duke 1290R....
Wesley Blokker Yup
Best one they make, that and the 1190 Adventure R
goooood
Hey this is a question for you or anyone else who owns a Super Duke. I am getting my Motorcycle license soon and am wondering if these would be a decent "starter bike" so to speak. A little about me, I drove Motorcross in highschool (so I do know how to drive a bike), I'm 25 and a little on the short side (5'6") so idk if this would be too tall for me all the reviews and pictures I have seen are done by guys that are like 6'3". We have a KTM dealer in town here but they don't have any in
stock so I can't go down and look.
Curious to know, have you ridden the Peripherique around Paris in the rush hour?
No
Is it legal to put out the Db-Killer in the UK?
oh okay if you put the DB-Killer out in Germany you get instantly busted
RJ.. have you ever testing R3?
whats that orange square thing above the dash?
iphone holder
Hey RJ, What's up with the old video intro? Just wondering...
1. i want to be like you when i get a little bit older.
2. You remember me my situation every day on my varadero 1000 on the traffic.
3. does not matter if your bike cost 1000$ or 25.000$ the f*cking mirrors always are a problem.
Bloody hell! !!! I envy your riding and filtering skills!!!! I'm always scared when I'm between cars....don't want to break their or my mirrors...or scratch them....😖
Anyone have any good advice how to filter better? Thanks :)
Practise makes perfect
Hello RJ! Would love to know the mileage on your Superduke, and if you have come across any problems with it?
3,500 miles, zero problems.
RoyalJordanian Ah yeah, sick! Thanks for the reply man!
Wow grande
Is it too heavy for filtering through traffic?
No, well balanced
That right hand mirror was annoying ME... and I wasn't even riding in central London.
I thought he had deliberately blurred the grey BMW's number plate at the beginning. Was waiting for it to do something wrong.
Do you think it has the same crazy torque that you describe on your R?
Yes, but somehow seems less brutal
what does he do as a job beside youtube videos?
RJ, hey
@royaljordanian what's up with the mirror?
Also don't you also think your 1290r is 100000 times better looking?
RJ, why the old intro?
RJ do you have special mic near exhaust?
Ed van Andel you mean that's how we get that exotic sounds, and also has one for speaking in helmet.
And how noise cancellation (of wind)
Ed van Andel aweeeeesome
