This is a highlights video of the game between Clitheroe CC's 2nds and Ramsbottom 2nds played in Junior Division 1 of the JW Lees Lancashire Cricket League on 5th May, 2024.
Thanks David. I've got a bit behind with editing and I should have put this game up last week. I think you're right about the Rammy middle order - a couple of them will be playing the majority of their games this season in the 1st XI.
I'm not sure. I didn't spot it when it happened but one of Clitheroe's team was next to me and pointed out that it didn't look like a "clean" take. The video shows the keeper with the ball in his gloves on the right hand side of the wicket, probably, and not in his gloves on the left. What happened in between we will never know. You have to endorse the umps decision.
Full agreement with other comments, great video which highlighted two very poor umpiring decisions, both top order batsmen, and both given in favour of Ramsbottom. Your recording clearly shows errors by the umpires in giving the respective batsmen out. Shame for both of the young players involved.
Great video as always Keith, the run out and the wide stumping look dubious decisions from the videoes point of view.
Legends Nutter and Collinge
some great leg spin bowling in first innings, great to see.
Did you catch the action 8.6 overs into the Ramsbottom innings?
Reckon some of Ramsbottoms middle order are probably good enough for the 1st eleven. Good game of cricket with a good crowd also. Thanks Keith

@@keithfawcett5150 Is Yorke Robinson formerly of Lowerhouse 1st XI? A good bat to be in Rammy's 2s if so.
@@fakestreetspirit Its the same guy.
Suspect it is a difficult step up from 2s to1s given the apparent standards gap
what did you reckon to the run out? Did he have control of the ball or was it a direct hit?
Looks as if he had control when stumps were broken but then lost control
