- The first video where I don’t have a script and chat a bit about my life on a narrowboat. This video is a test to see if there is any interest in regular posts about my life on a narrowboat, together with my life as a photographer.
Delightful chat. Looking forward to more. 👍😀
Wonderful! I watched every minute of this video and was fascinated. I'm in the process of downsizing and am now sorely tempted by narrow boat life! Please make more videos like this and maybe include a quick tour of your boat. Thank you!
Give that man an Oscar! Well done! Subscribed
Thank you! David from Cruising the Cut is the best of all the wonderful boating bloggers. I've watched them all. Pumpout is definitely the best loo system!
Enjoyed this Alastair. I follow you on X. Would love a video tour of the boat sometime. Looking forward to the next video. 😊
Watching from Canada and saw the link in your post on X. I do follow your 'tweets' and you've posted some beautiful photographs. Love your sense of humor saw when I saw this video I immediately came here. Yup, till the end and in fact, if I had one critic it would be I wish you'd done a longer video. I see these boats on some British shows and also in some photos and have been fascinated and curious about them. I think for me I would feel a sense of freedom living as you do. I fell in love with your country, the countryside in particular and many of the folks I follow on Twitter/X are in Britain. I do love the old, historic and the beauty that is so much of what I see. Thank you Alastair and I wish you all the best!
That was interesting and entertaining. More videos would be wonderful.
Glad to see you back on CZcams!
Please do more videos - this is very interesting to find out how you live on the boat and the areas you are living in.
I am one of those bored people 🙋 and I watched it till the bitter end 😄 Now Iam not bored anymore. I liked it just as much as your X-account.
I remember little Ronnie !!!….great stuff …xx
Wonderful...just enjoying my Sunday morning coffee, and there you are! Just like having a little chat! Well done!😊🇨🇦
Would love a video tour of the boat mate.
Good show, Sir 👍🏻
That was bloody brilliant. I would love it if you did more of these.
Make that 3 of us now 😄 looking forward to more pal about boat life.
Alastair, great ramble. Yep, watched it to the end. FFS keep breaking their realities. To all the people watching this guy's youtube, you have nothing to lose but your barbed wire fences! (Crypto Anarchist Manifesto).
😊
Love your b/w pics 👍🌈
This is great. I already follow you on X and was hoping you'd talk more about your life afloat. Interested in how you fitted out your boat (if it was a shell) or decided what furnishings and fittings from your previous life ashore were essentials rather than just desirables. Also interested in how much of the canal network remains accessible as boats gets wider. I've no idea of sizes between 12 feet wide and 6 feet wide, but presumably there's a lot of variation? Subscribed!
Well done mate. I’m the other person that watched it!
Nice! I need to downsize & you've def sold it -- but have an issue with seasickness. Maybe stick to canals? Love the idea of moving around,
Next time give us a little tour of the boat and your roof garden. Have subscribed. Though shocked to hear you say "no community" would've thought everyone else was friendly. Can you film when you're moored at Regent's Canal. I totally agree why pay 20K a year for a permanent site when you can move around for 1K? I suppose if you have kids at school it's different.
Ramble on
Look at all those views! Guess that means you have to do more!
If you're only allowed to Moor somewhere for a maximum or 7 or 14 days, is there a minimum time before you're allowed to return to that mooring?
So how many years would a boat last?
