Bleaching his hair blonde, too much volume and vibrato............ yikes. I am done with this group, Richard and Tom are both too good for the group, better off solo.

I agree, Myrna! Collabro sounded the best with ALL 5 of them. The 4 sounds good, the 1 Richard sounds amazing, but the 5 sounds THE BEST! Hopefully, they will all get back together again like when they were still really close friends as a result of the collaboration. I noticed in the beginning, they didn't feature Jamie as a solo much. It was not his voice. All of them have their place in the choir. It's the chemistry. One ingredient was left out and can be felt more than seen and heard. Same as Irish Thunder without George Donaldson and Keith Harkin.

Hi Debbie, Richard left because of artistic differences. Richard wanted them to do a lot more swing which the other four didn't. This caused a lot of arguments. Because no one wanted what Richard did he claimed to have been bullied which the others denied. Richard left to sing swing and goes under the name of Swingfield.
I think Covid kicked their butt like many businesses trying to find their sea legs during that season. I loved them with Richard and without. Don't think it helped that people never let them forget about Richard's departure. They just couldn't move on from it because no one would let them!!!

Great video John, But I have to agree with the comments below, As a retired singer of 30 plus years, when they were a five-some they harmonized so good. As a foursome, every once in a while there is a clash in vocals tones that actually hurts to listen to it. They all sing great, Jamie & Matt have the best vocal ranges, especially Jamie, but that 5th voice is missing in live concerts which is easily covered up on the albums.....
I don't think they sound the same without Richard but they are still great. I could listen to them Alnight. I do hate that they decided to call it quits.
Richard was a great loss. I believe he wanted more focus on for his gift of singing. This is just my opinion, but in the very beginning, he was the first singer, who started the song. A voice like his really cannot be overlooked at all. I’m just sorry whatever was going on, he could not give more time to the group. Yes, I do believe the impact of his leaving was unfortunately fatal for Collabro..
Richard is very happy at what he is doing now singing classical jazz on his own and has a very good following. I really liked him too but one must be happy at what they are doing and I. Read that he is losing weight and having a ball at what he's doing. Bravo for him to leave the group because I think Matt drove him away and may b e Jamie because they didn't like the ending to their songs where he had to pitch higher. So it all w/o e ked out for the best for all of them and they are all happy. Kiddos for them all. They are all wonderful young men. 💖💖💖

I don't understand why Richard left, claiming he was unhappy because of being ignored by the group. From what I see in their past videos together, Richard seems to be valued and is in most cases the lead, and was getting the recognition as such from the fans. What did he want? Did he want to be the undisputed star immediately? Had he persevered, he probably would have become close to it. But now, by himself he is just one other of the thousands of singers hoping to someday hit a hit. The only thing selling his music right now is that he was one of the Collabros. Just my thoughts.

One of the group opted to go out on his own but the other four have still performing and touring. They just completed a tour of Canada.
