My Dad watched from a distant as the German tanks of the 116 PzDiv did this to outlying 3-112 Infantry fox holes outside of Schmidt, 4 Nov 1944. Greene's Hornets had no AT weapons and too far away to help. The men who were buried and died in those fox holes are still being found by local farmers and identified by DPMAA.
Ya, this was pretty standard infantry vs. tank combat. Even with a weapon, there are no guarantees. I read a story of a German with an AT weapon who popped out a ditch to engage a Sherman and the weapon either failed to fire or failed to pen (I forget which) and the Sherman just collapsed the ditch on him. One of the more wild training vids I saw was guys W/O AT weapons attacking a T34. They were jumping on with pry bars, trying to cover the site ports, dumping gas on it, pretty much anything to attempt to blind or disable it. I would image the success rate would be real low, but I guess the point of such training would be to instill the attitude to fight no matter what.
It is clearly marked as a training film. The practice of burying the soldier in the hole by repeatedly steering the tank above them was horrible but employed on all fronts by all opponents. An example can be found in the second episode of the saga "08/15", where we see the poor soldier Vierbein "annihilated" in this way in the russian winter.
@PTRamos I ain't saying non-neutral steering is good for the transmission, just last I heard the Panthers transmission has way less problems than tiger's with their extra weight.

Надеюсь что именно дед моей жены сжёг этот танк вместе с экипажем. Он был капитаном, командиром танковой роты СССР, с 41 по 45 воевал, брал Берлин, трижды горел в танке, трижды был тяжело ранен, был участником Парада Победы в Москве в 45.

The blown out plugs are often mistaken for penetrating hits on tank wrecks. As to the grenade I doubt a live one was thrown, there was probably a charge in the ground.

Within seconds, all the Russians had piled into a log roofed bunker, and the tank drove on the top of the bunker and ground the entire bunker into mush as it span and drove over the logs which topped the bunker. Thank god there was no sound as I think it would have been truly traumatising. The Russians all died, in a most horrifying manner.

Obviously they ran but they did have transmission issues especially in early models the main issue was the fact that they couldn’t easily be repaired in the fields. It is just a fact that German armour was way less reliable then allied armour which was east to produce and repair

There were Übungs Granaten with intert and some with a flashpowder and smoke mix. Tho this looks a little bit too violent.

Tons of wartime videos show Panthers ripping along at high speed. Somehow they are not on fire with their final drives exploding.
Obviously they ran but they did have transmission issues especially in early models the main issue was the fact that they couldn’t easily be repaired in the fields.
It is just a fact that German armour was way less reliable then allied armour which was east to produce and repair
